Hi there, I am about to purchase a landry select card, but my husbands bday just passed (May 22, I meant to do it last month:/ ). We are still within his bday month though. Will they still apply the bday credit because we are within the month? With that said, I know the bday reward expires by the 15th of June, we currently have an ADR on the 16th, but could go the 12th, next problem, no ADR's available. If I have the card though, will it be a problem getting in on the 12th? Just trying to figure this out before I purchase. If i cant do it, I wont bother with the card. Thanks for any help!

According to Landry's Website:
https://www.landrysselect.com/ClubFaqs.aspx

Your $25 Birthday Reward will be automatically added onto your Landry's Select Club account on the first day of your birthday month. Birthday Rewards expire on the 15th of the month following your birthday month. Birthday Rewards can be deferred but will expire on the 15th if unused. If you register your account during the month of your birthday, your Birthday Reward will automatically be added to your account 24 hours after your account is registered. Birthday Reward may take up to 2 business days to be added for cards purchased online. Regardless of sign-up date, the Birthday Reward will expire on the 15th of the following month.

If you can get the ADR for the 12th, then do so. I think there would be a problem with the 16th; like you stated, the reward should expire before then.

Regardless, it's a $25 card which gives you a $25 credit towards your meal, so even if the birthday rewards don't pan out, you're not actually risking any money.

Now if you're going to Y&Y because you have the card, and would go elsewhere if you couldn't get the birthday discount, well, then that's a risk you have to think about.

The birthday reward is good for the entire month of your birthday month plus the following month through the 15th.

You don't have to prove your date of birth. If you fudge the month, chose the month that you expect to be in WDW most years.

Also, they will be happy to give you both the welcome reward and your birthday reward at the same meal, so you'll get $50 off your first meal. :)

Going either way, but def want to use the bday reward. Thanks for your thoughtful response!

I thought about saying June, but felt bad :/

I believe it can take up to 10 business days to arrive once ordered.

It might take a little while for the physical cards to arrive, but the system should have your information within 48 hours if you register online. Once at the restaurant, just say you don't yet have your card, and they can look up your information via phone number.

Thanks all! I just used the month of June as his bday. Now, have any of you had an easy experience of not having an ADR and being able to get in to a landrys restaurant?

You don't need an ADR. If you have a Landry's card you can walk up to any participating restaurant (like Y&Y) and you will be seated when the next available table opens.

We went to Yak & Yeti last October during heavy rain with many people huddled inside the lounge area to get out of the downpour.

I pulled out my card and requested a table for 5 of us, and we were seated in maybe 5 minutes.

After the meal, a manager brought my receipt, asked how everything was, and thanked me for the business.

She was so nice, and they made the rewards and card so easy to use, that I would sign up all over again.

I got a landry's card a few months ago in anticipation of my birthday/Easter week trip. I had intended to use my birthday $ at TRex, but we were at a very crowded AK, the kids were hungry, so we stopped at Yak and Yeti, I pulled out my card, and they sat us right away. We used our welcome and birthday $ that meal. Manager came over to thank us for being Landry members. Kids said it was the best meal ever. And it was.

They treat you right with the Landry's card, we're always seated very quickly even when the whole lobby is packed. A manager comes by and thanks you for being a member. It's terrific, the birthday reward is a wonderful perk, and the quick seating when you have no reservation is a lifesaver, especially when you are tired, hungry, and overheated from the theme park.

Yep, even when people are stacked up waiting for ADRs we've been seated within 5 minutes :)

Was surprised to see that we could use an open table reward there too

That card is truly magical! We have used it at Yak and Yeti for lunch. They had just quoted the family ahead of us a 1.5 hour wait. I walked up with my card and was told 15 minutes. I seriously had just turned around to go tell my husband (he was off parking the stroller) and the buzzer went off before I even made it to him!

HOLY COW! Thanks yall! Super glad that I got it. That is truly a wonderful perk! Ill report back after our trip on how it worked! Really appreciate everyone taking the time to thoughtfully reposed as well <3
