Fidelity strikes again...

Vowed to never do it again.. deal with Fidelity... walked away from a contract a while back because the seller wouldn't send back paperwork and lack of communication. (although the paperwork miraculously showed up on the day we cancelled but we still walked). Fast forward to this weekend browsing contracts found one emailed an offer. No word by Mon afternoon. Called and gave the offer over the phone. Okay I will put in the offer and call you back.. no call.. called back Tuesday. Oh okay I will check on the offer and call you right back.. It is now Thursday and I have never gotten a call once! Put a fork in me I am done. Now I remember why I vowed I wouldn't deal with them again..

Yep me too! Probably the same offer (BWV). I emailed and left a phone message over the weekend and they contacted me right away twice over the weekend, then Monday I got an email telling me the would put the offer in and get right back to me. Yesterday I emailed them to ask the status and 4 business days now and no word. I too called and left messages over the weekend. I knew it was a long shot getting this great offer, but I figured I would try. It's no longer listed and just a simple email telling me the seller accepted another buyer's offer would've been nice. Since I'm tied to my U/Y and don't want a different one, the offers don't come around too often. Oh well, back to waiting and watching.

EVERYTHING has been wonderful with The Timeshare Store & we just closed on our first resale purchase this week!

I would love to try them, but I've not found an offer yet to fit. I am on their mailing list. It's just a little harder when you have to maintain the same UY and I'm not willing to get a different one....though I did think about it long and hard. I think when the time is right the right offer will come.

I too have had the same lack of service from Feditity over repeated attempts with them. The only way I've ever been able to buy via Fidelity has been via a co-broker and another brokerage company.

TTS has always been great to deal with as has the other brokeage.

Hmm. If I recall correctly others have mentioned that Fidelity is DVD's preferred resale seller. Perhaps this is all just part of Jim Lewis' plan to prevent buyers from going the resale route.

No, it's a money thing. Fidelity gives them a 50% cut of the commission on referrals.

I know how you are all feeling. Ive tried several times at making offers on contract with this company to no avail I then made the decision to ask Jaki at anothe resale company if they could make an offer on a different contract, within 1 hour they responded, made offer next day for me as it was a weekend, received news that night that they had accepted another offer. This is what I call service. I will never use this company again.

Sorry you had a bad experience. I am working with them on a resale right now and everything has been great so far, went to ROFR 13 days ago. If things come off the rails I will be sure to share, but so far service has been great.

I have also used Timeshare Store in the past and can vouch for their great customer service.

Sad to hear of all the bad experiences with Fidelity. I've bought 2 resale contracts - 1 with Fidelity and 1 with TTS. Fidelity took a little patience and extra follow up work on my part, but they had the contract I wanted (UY/points) at the price I was looking for. At the time I purchased, they were the only broker with what I needed. If I were in the market for another resale contract (which I'm NOT! ) I would use them again if they had what I wanted.

I am about to purchase my 4th contract with Fidelity and while I will say closing took a little long back in March when the recent changes were taking effect, I have had great communication with Sharon. She always gets back to me quickly.

Sounds like I should ask for Sharon if I ever use Fidelity. I have used TSS twice and things went smoothly, for the most part. I am not sure I would have the patience if I did not have the same kind of experience with a different broker.

Just spoke to Sharon, she seemed very professional and with it. n2mm if you are dealing with the other person I would call and ask to talk to Sharon, she told me what was going on with my contract ( another buyer at full price) in 5 seconds. Rather than waiting for days..

We made our offer on 6/24/11 with Fidelity and we closed on our VWL today (7/22/11). I have nothing but good things to say about them from customer service to communication. I will definitely go back to them for an add on without hesitation.

I've also had conversations with Sharon and she's always responded quickly and professionally even though Im trying to purchase a Saratoga Sprigns fully loaded contract at a rock bottom price. I have nothing but good things to say about her.
