Just wanted to send my thoughts up to you in MA. Dont know it you are near the coast where the hurrcaine is going to hit or just in the tropical storm area. Either way my thoughts are with you and your family that you do not have any damage to your home and that you all stay safe and sound. :goodvibes

Be safe everyone and have a great holiday weekend!! :goodvibes

I would like to post some good news.

I FINALLY FOUND A JOB!!! :cool1::banana::woohoo::dance3::yay:

It has been three years since I've had a real job. So I hope I'm up for it. It is sitting down so I shouldn't have any problems.

DH and I are so happy. Things were getting so bad we thought we might lose our house and car. Now that hopefully won't happen.

Hope everyone is doing really good and you do something fun this weekend.

Tigg & Bright, thanks for thinking of me. We are in Western MA so we are expecting high winds and rain but will miss the really bad stuff. Tigg, I hope your week end is better than you week was.

Orange - congrats on the job! :cheer2: I am glad things are looking up and I know you'll do fine!

I am not sure why but I have been fighting a migraine for 8 days now. The first night was horrible but it has only been nagging for the rest of the time. So strange but I wish it would just go already. I think it may be the weird weather changes we have had. Maybe its hormones idk...

Stayas pain free as you can and enjoy the weekend.

Erika

I have had the worst week in a very long time. Not so much my Fibro which like many of you has been all over the map due to the weather but life has just gotten in the way as they say. I was having some adjusting to do with the school schedule then Wed I had to get my van inpected and it failed badly including the four new tires I just put on in Feb :sad2:

while waitng for them to check it I found a strange lump under my toung that scared me to death. Everything I found online did not look good and with my personal history of pre cancers and being touched by so many cancer deaths in my family I totally freeked which is not like me at all. I went to Dr who told me it was a cyst.:cool1: I was so releived that I didn't care that the van was going to cost me a fortune.

Then sat we found out that a 11 year old boy and classmate of my DD was shot in the face and killed Friday night. This was the first boy to every ask my DD to be his girlfriend but since she wasn't much into the Boy-girl thing she said she would think about it to put him off. They remained friends and he was very kind to her during some issues with a teacher when other kids were not. Needless to say our entire small town is devistated because the boy who accidently shot him and another boy in the house are in my DD class/school as well.

I am so greatful for my relative health and my family being safe and sound but I am so sad for all those involved and that my DD has to learn this lesson in such a tragic way. What an awful week. My too oldest are really pulling together though. DS stayed up on couch with her watching shows until she could fall asleep. He just didnt want to leave her until she could sleep. I'm so proud of him!!!

Hoping everone is well.

Tigg,

That is such a hard week you have had :grouphug: I hope next week is better. How is DD doing??

It is very sweet your DS stayed with her to comfort her and keep her company until she could sleep.

Best wishes to you and your family. Next week HAS to be better. :grouphug:

Hey Diane,

I have lingering pains too. Sometimes they last for a long time - months - amd then go away when I get out of my flair. Change makes me very uneasy too. My DS starts school on Thursday and I hate the idea. My DD just moved and went to grad school a few weeks ago and my DH landed in the ER today with a kidney stone. It takes me so long to adjust to everything and then I can't sleep and feel worse. I am right here with you. Take a deep breath, I am sure you are ok!

I just want to sleep. So bad. My headaches are like a vice and my eyeballs hurt:scared1:. But no need pushing it, and making myself upset because I can't.

May I ask you if you are doing any better? Sorry to make this a me, me, me post, I feel selfish. Diane.

It's okay to have a me, me, me post. That's why we are here. I've battled migraines and sinus headaches my entire life. They are painful and can just wear you out.

Listen to me, it is what it is, but don't worry, it changes nothing. But, this might pixiedust:

I stumbled across this thread and sat here trying to remember if I've read it or not but I'm just not sure. I'm only 29 but my memory has gotten so bad in the last year or so that it's almost funny.

My first trip to WDW was in 2008 and I was fine. Then a couple months later BANG fibro. On my 2009 trip I was on Cymbalta, which helped my pain a lot so there really was only one day where the pain brought me down. Unfortunately there were too many side effects so I couldn't stay on Cymbalta. Now we're waiting for our 2010 trip (25 days to go!) and I'm on Savella, which isn't helping my pain nearly as much. My DH and I are both nervous about how this trip is going to go, and we scheduled more time this year so I had extra time to rest. Afterwards I think I'm going to ask the doctor to try something else, but I really don't want to fuss with my medication so close to the trip.

Lately I'm not sure what's going on but I'm lucky if I can go one day without taking tramadol for the pain, and I have to take that as sparingly as possible because the doctor doesn't like giving it to me. :headache: I'm really hoping that Disney magic will give me a boost.
