As I look at my fiber collection, it seems that I have an awful lot of one or two colors but not much variety. Would anyone be interested in a Fiber Swap? Here's how it works...
we would try to get about 20 people involved... each person would send in 1 yard of fiber per person in the swap (if there are 20 people you would send in 20 yards...cut into one yard pieces)
each participant would receive 20 yards of fiber back...all different.
When you send in your fibers, you would either wrap each yard individually on a piece of cardboard or put each yard in a small baggie so they do not get tangled.
Let me know if you're interested and I will post a formal sign up sheet.
We could either let it be a free for all with colors or you could pick a color to send to be sure we get a broad range of colors.
The best way to do this is to buy fibers at Joanne's, Michael's etc. and buy it in the yarn section in large rolls. All those beautiful fun fibers you pay an arm and a leg for at your LSS, you can buy them here for a lot less and just cut and divide them yourselves.
Hope some of you are interested!!
