Thanks to Josh at www.easywdw.com you can see the lines long all day long that being said you can get in line at closing with about a 30 minute wait.

Hi Ty...when will you be going? This will have a great deal to do with your FP+ choices as will the day you plan to be at Magic Kingdom. Summer, in general will have wait times similar to those posted above. The previous poster is correct about the end of the day as well, but will your family want to be in line 30 minutes at park close? We'd love to help but more information would be great.:flower3:

Most any ride has shorter lines very early and very late in the day. FP for Mine Train is a good choice the rest of the time. See the green link in my signature for more info.

If this is something your family really wants to do, I'd get the FP rather than worrying about what time of day you can avoid the lines. With the FP you have your ride time scheduled, you walk right on, and you are done. Since the ride will still be new to most September visitors, I'd get the FP even though September lines will likely be shorter than July lines.

Sept 17-24. Yes we was planning on fp. But touringplans says wasn't really need think it was them or chip n dale or pirate. Don't really remember source.

Ty n advance.

We will be there September 11-16. I got a FP for SDMT for September 12th. I know historically crowds are lower, but I figured this would still be a very big draw, so I decided to just save myself some time and get the FP.

I disagree. There are few better options for FP than 7DMT in MK, and I expect that to be the case for the forseeable future.

It's possible that the crowds will be lower and stand by very manageable, but I wouldn't take the chance. I would book FP and that way you know you can get on without waiting. Right now it is probably the most popular FP in MK. Even with low crowds it will be busy at certain times. I do agree it should be reasonable early and late given your travel dates.

Right NOW- Tuesday July 15th- at 1pm....the wait for 7DMT is 110 minutes. I'd guess in September you might be able to shave 20 minutes off this estimate- but 90 minutes for it is too long of a wait IMO. I've been following TP right before I go to bed (around 9-10ish) and the waits have averaged around 60-70 minutes at that time.

I'm trying to figure out why you wouldn't get one for it. Makes no logical sense at all. Despite crowd levels. It's not like you have to pick from tiers there.

We planed on it but read wasn't needed I why I asked before our 60 day window hehhehehe. Best info always in dis boards

Was just there Friday and we went straight to mine ride at rope drop with a quick detour for a stroller. We still had to wait about 30mins and the lines only got longer as the day went on even at closing it was about 60 mins. If you are not able to get a FP in the am, I would run to it at rope drop. I would not get a FP late afternoon or night bc it will keep you from getting any other FP until you use that one.

The longest ride line in the park is still the longest ride line in the park regardless of the crowd level.

The ride is a roller-coaster for people that don't like roller-coasters or are little kids: Smooth, small drops and short.

Otherwise, it isn't worth waiting more than 15 minutes.

The lines for this ride are long all day. I was there last Wednesday. I was in the park at rope drop and made it to the ride at 9:05.

75 minute wait, 5 minutes after the park opened. The lines were long all day.

If you don't have a FP, skip it.
