Few questions - ADRs and Universal?!

Hello everyone,

Hope you're all well! Just a few questions regarding ADRs and Universal because I could do with some help!

I know my ADR date is 180 days out, but I've read a couple on confusing things regarding the time from which I can make bookings and the difference in opening time between online bookings and phone bookings? I wouldn't usually be so caught up by it but I'm booking for everyone in our party and so a bit more twitchy about it.

I'm looking at buying tickets for Universal that are 1 day, 2 park, realise this isn't the most economical option but we literally have 1 day to be there. As far as I can see these are still available on the US website for Universal? I am also looking at pre-booking transport from Animal Kingdom Lodge to Universal and back. I've read about Mears but that sounds like a bit of a nightmare (although I could be wrong!). Don't necessarily want the cheapest option, just something reliable that I can book for 8 people in advance? :thumbsup2

ADRs you can book online at 11am and by phone at 12 noon :goodvibes

As for Universal I know Dreams Unlimited used to do a one day ticket which included transport- I don't know if they still do might be worth checking though :)

Dreams Unlimted do indeed sell a 1 day/2 park ticket with transport. It is $149.99 +tax (link here)

Many thanks to you both - I have looked at the Dreams Unlimited website before but it will only let me do 6 tickets, I need 8! Might email them and ask!

Which email address did you use? reservations@dreamsunlimitedtravel.com usually works. If not, could you buy the tickets in a set of 4 and 3?

Yes I believe that is the email address I used, thank you! Will perhaps try and resend. I ideally would like the transport all together so am worried if I split transactions I will end up dealing with multiple lots of transportation with Mears and if that's going to be complicated I'd rather look at other transport options. I'm not necessarily looking for the cheapest way to do this, just the one that's going to cause me the least amount of hassle. It's kind of fallen to me to organise the other 7 people on our trip because they're not really savvy with any of this and it'll only come back on me you see!

If you have no luck then let me know and I will contact my Dreams agent and ask her the best way.

Thanks so much - still nothing, would have thought they'd not take this long to get back to me! I work for a big company and we get eaten alive if we take more than 24 hours to respond!

Wow, it is not like Dreams to take so long to respond. I will email my agent for you and ask her for advice. I have to say, I have emailed DCL a couple of times myself in the last week and haven't had a response either. I wonder if they're just super busy at the moment.

If you could I'd be so grateful! I did think it was odd I'd not heard back - perhaps my emails didn't reach them or like you say they may just be exceptionally busy!

My agent is on holiday at the moment but I know somebody else who works for Dreams. She suggested that you email john@dreamsunlimitedtravel.com and say you got the address from the DIS. Hope you get a response hun x

Hoorah success - they have responded to me and have said it's Universal that impose them selling maximum of 6 in one transaction so do two transactions and then make the transfer reservations at the same time and we should be fine to travel together!
