We were just testing the waters to see how DS did so we only went for a night. He loved it so we plan on going longer (hopefully we can squeeze in a trip before it's too cold this year)

here's some pics from our tent site in Lancaster, PA at Old Mill Street Campground.

we forgot our tent stakes, whoops

I started camping over 25 years ago. I go just about every weekend now. I have a seasonal site at a camp ground around Lancaster PA. My kids love it also. One thing I love just as much as my Dad did.

Beautiful site. :thumbsup2 A helpful thing is to make a list of camping gear, after you got it right laminate it. We learned the hard way. ;)

Glad it went well. Love the pics of your site. I miss PA. Can't wait to hear about your Disney trip.

Disney won't be camping, staying at Pop and AKV. Hopefully next trip we will tent camp. But the logistics of camping gear and flying sounds like a headache.

When I was little, we used to stay at fort, it was great fun. I still love walking over there, so peaceful!

Oh, do you have a recommendation for the Lancaster area? We want to camp again in Lancaster (we did Day out with Thomas and Dutch Wonderland this weekend) but this camp ground is too nerve wracking with a toddler. All tent sites line the creek.

What kind of fish did ya'll catch ?

Didn't fish :sad1: Took our gear but the edge of the ground was literally a drop off to the creek, so there wasn't a safe/easy way to be able to fish with a 2.5 year old. My son was so disappointed because he knew we had his fishing pole. thankfully playing a fishing game at the amusement park made everything ok.

Site had a better view than I ever had at a hotel and only $35! Good idea about the list. Thankfully it wasn't windy so not having stakes wasn't a problem. We also forgot something to drink out of for DH and I, a bucket for water for the fire. But we had out fire pie irons, so all was good for cooking :)

I also learned lace up shoes are not a good idea for middle of the night bathroom runs. Too much work! Will be getting slip ons or something easier.

Thanks for sharing
Enjoyed seeing your pictures. I can't wait to get back to the fort in December.
