1. If we are not buying a wand, should we do Olivanders? If by some chance DS, gets chosen in the wand ceremony, are you expected to purchase the wand. What exactly does the chosen person have to do?

2. Can you mail a postcard from the Owl Post, my nephew is a big HP fan, and I thought it would be cute to send him a postcard?

3. Here is my HP plan, what do you think and what day should I do it on.
We can do early entry on Mon, Tues or Wed (June 6, 7 or 8th) We could do early entry twice if necessary

Arrive for early entry
Do Olivanders
Do FJ ride
Tour castle, take pics
Ride FOH coaster
Should we do the queue for DC (we don't want to ride, but DD and her friend will)But I though DS would like to see Ron's car.
Eat lunch at 3 Broomsticks, and sample frozen butterbear.

Am I missing anything?
TIA :flower3:

Ollivander's is a brief show, considered one of the attractions. If any of you are Potter fans it will be very familiar from movie/book 1.
Someone is chosen, asked their birthday, instructed how to do a couple of spells and then the 'right' wand chooses them. No you aren't required to buy the wand that chooses you even though 'Ollivander' will give it to his assistant.

The DC queue is cute and has a few things familiar from the movies, if the others are going on the ride anyway, another part of the attraction.

I think your son might enjoy Zonko's/Honeydukes. One is a joke store and the other a candy store, they are combined.

Go to the loo so you can hear Moaning Myrtle. Dervish&Banges has a line usually and is very small but has some really neat things like the Monster Book of Monsters etc.

Be sure you look closely in all the windows, those all relate to the various moives.
The Owlery and the Owl Post are interesting and yes you can mail a post card (there's a sample of one in the Trip reports (Thing1 and Thing 2).
Also the TriWizard entertainment and the Frog Choir are very realistic to the movies.

Just remember that even in the Three Broomsticks and Hog's Head Pub there are some neat things to see!

Sounds like a good itinerary. If anyone is a big Potter fan they will really love all the details and that was what I noticed most.
Sitting in the sun with my Butterbeer, people watching, listening to the HP music and hearing so many English accents really made my day.

Thanks Tink2Day. Very helpful! I can't wait, I hope all my planning pays off and we get to experience everything! :flower3:

So is the general consensus to do Ollivander's first, then FJ, on early entrance days?

Another question, we bought 3-day base tickets. I scheduled our "free" breakfast at the 3 Broomsticks for the third day, but thought we'd do IoA on Day one. This leaves us just one day for US(day 2). Do ya'll think we'll be sorry we went back to IoA on Day 3? Seems like there's more to do at US.
Also, if we decide we want to change things around, can you call and rearrange your breakfast reservations? I don't know who to call if that's the case.
