The day I was waiting for had arrived. Universal Studios and Harry Potter. What a disappointment it turned out to be.
We got up at 6:30 and got ready. By 7:20 we were in the Riverside Mill having breakfast.
Scott:
Large OJ
Ham & Cheese Omelet.
Vinny:
Large OJ
Coffee
Fruit Cup
Yogurt Parfait.
It was all good. This fruit did not make Vinny sick like the last one he had at Pepper Market in 08'. The entire meal would have been $24.00.
We had to get to the Alamo Car Rental at the Dolphin so we just had a cab come and get us. We got to Alamo and there were 3 people ahead of us. It was maybe 10 minutes or quicker and it was our turn. We had a nice lady helping us. We told her where we were going (she asked) and she gave us a map. Then she said "this is your lucky day, guess why". Vinny said "we r getting a Cadillac convertible". She said "your half right". She then said we were getting an upgrade to a Cadillac. Vinny was s o excited, I would have preferred a convertible. Let me say now that once I got in and sat down in the seat I changed my mind and now want one. It was a DTS and so nice. I took this pic when we got back to POR.
So great. So we drove over to US and was there at parking at 8:53.
We paid $18.77 for the preferred parking.
Our section.
We made our way. The walk from the parking to the entrance is FAR. It felt like a mile. Then we saw.
We had to go to the "Will Call" kiosk and to print our tickets. Easy enough to do. We then headed in.
The walk back is long but not too long but boring. I guess because I was focused on getting to Harry but we made it.
First thing I noticed was.
I so wanted to get on it and have it take me to school.
We kept walking. Crowds are not bad.
The details are amazing.
One of the many shops. I will say the shops are small. Several of them had lines outside waiting to get in.
Looking back the way we came in.
Video of the screaming plants. Sorry for the sideways video.

So now we went to the ride. They have the chairs outside and as soon I saw them I knew it would not close for me. Vinny told me to try and I did and just like I thought it would not close. The guy told me I could not go. I was embarrassed but planned for it so I was ok. I told Vinny to go on it. He would not unless I would. I asked if he wanted to walk through it and then exit but he said no. Later in the day he said he misunderstood what I asked and he would have done that. I felt so bad that he could not go on because of my fatness. We decided to walk and see other parts of the park. There is a kiddie rollercoaster here and the old FIRE and ICE coaster. Vinny will not do coasters so we decided to move on.
The OWL POST. This was one of the stores that had a line so we did not go in.
We did go in here. They had some fun candy but we did not get any.
Fortune teller in Honeydukes.
Next up we had to get one of our goals done. We both wanted to try Butterbeer. We got in line and I got us 2 in souvenir cups. You can get soda refills for .80 cents during that day in the cup. It came in handy.
This was very good. With the cup it cost $21.00 for the two fo them. Pricey.
The coaster that Vinny would not go on. LOL
Lockers were located in this building.
One more store as we walked out.
And then our Harry Potter was over. I will say I like it. It was a lot smaller than I expected. In the summer or real busy times I would not want to be here, way too small with the crowds. My disappointment is really in myself for getting this way to prevent doing fun things. I am trying to work on losing 50 lbs by October so when we go down again I will treat Vinny to a quick ride. We agreed to go back just to ride Harry and then go elsewhere.
