I know, I know…I just did a poll yesterday about Disney movies, but we just watched Zootopia for the first time last night and I couldn’t resist. As many know, my polls are many times inspired by life events and that event was watching Zootopia last night. My DD21 and I decided that with The Tree of Life changing to Zootopia, it’s time to watch it so we know what’s going on when the change over is complete. After we watched it, we were ashamed that it took us 9 years to watch it. We absolutely loved it - very fun movie. Multiple times I literally laughed out loud. For those that don’t know what Zootopia is about, here ya go…



After watching this, I’m glad they are changing The Tree of Life to Zootopia - it’s perfect for AK. If you haven’t seen this, definitely take the time to watch it. I give it two very enthusiastic .

For Me…..I truly did love it and I’m already looking forward to watching it again. There are so many moments that had humor for adults to understand that would go right over a little kids head - I love that - I find that very creative. Now I need to watch Zootopia 2

I saw it in the theatre when it first came out. It was ok. Nothing memorable.
I really don’t remember much of it. I probably need to see it again.

After yesterday's poll, I texted DD26, who agreed that Tangled was hugely better than Frozen, so we'll rewatch it.

I like it...but not as much as I thought I would. It's grown on me more over the years and the song Try Everything was one of my motivational anthems when training for runDisney in 2020.

I love it. I also had a really fun first viewing in college, when our group had the whole theater to ourselves for a late night weekday showing.

Love it! There are some really funny moments, the characters are great. I can say I actually look forward to the sequel.

I loved it! You should see the Zootopia shorts that were added to Disney+ as well. There are 6 episodes; they are an anthology so each episode stands alone. My favorites were The Real Rodents of Rodentia and The Godfather of the Bride. I am very excited for the sequel.

I remember watching this at the cinema when it first came out and I really loved it at the time - there were a couple of scenes that cracked me up so much that i couldn't not love it (the wolves howling and Flash the sloth being the main ones). Strangely though its not a film I've seen often and have probably only watched it once or twice since it was released. I am looking forward to see the Zootopia stuff in Shanghai though!

I saw it years ago and I've rewatched it for reward days at school. I think it's a great little movie. I've always had a bad habit of associating cartoon/muppet characters with people sometimes. I swear... I had the human version of Judy Hopps in class. Same personality, same attitude, same speech of movement .... even made the same little faces. I also had a student who was Flash the Sloth... same speed of getting things done, same style of speaking... It still cracks me up whenever I think about those two kids.

Now, if you're looking for a movie recommendation that'll take you down another rabbit hole... try Beverly Hills Chihuahuas. My students introduced me to that movie and I've no idea how I missed that whole basket of crazy.
