Few firsts, friends & H. P. an Oct. TR - New 3/4 - THE END...

MORE MORE MORE!!! We are doing US for 2 days before our cruise in June. Ok, so far I'm thinking Twister is okay for DS but Beetlejuice probably not....CHECK! :thumbsup2 He has no idea who beetlejuice is anyway.

I'm so glad to read they have Starbucks in there! That's a plus for me!! :goodvibes

Can't wait to read more! popcorn::

:cloud9: Dunkin Donuts is my favorite coffee....my dad raised me on it. Coffee drinker since the age of 6...and anyone who says coffee stunts your growth, I'm 5'10", how tall would I have been if I didn't drink coffee? :lmao: I would seriously pass out if Disney struck a deal with them! :lovestruc
I enjoy the coffee. I have a gift card burning a hole in my wallet right now. :lmao:
I would pass out if they struck a deal with anyone else.

I have never seen the Beetlejuice show! Although I have to say, I am intrigued by the parental discretion sign. :rotfl2:
It was fun. Young kids would not get the jokes but teens probably would. Totally worth it for that.

That was interesting, I never liked the movie Beetle Juice. Although I majorly:lovestruc Alex Baldwin. If I ever make it over to see Scooby I might check it out.
Dunkin Donuts coffee and some munchkins sounds good right now, I'd never fall asleep:).

Great pictures!
:rotfl2: to see Scooby.
They do. Glazed munchkins.

I haven't thought of Beetlejuice in years!!! I used to love the movie! I had no idea there was a show at Universal. :lmao:
That is one good movie from the 80's. There is I showed you proof. :lmao: It was different.

Very cool! Did you buy these on the M&Ms site? I think I may do that for our upcoming trip!!
I believe so if not google customized m&Ms.

Cool! Love short updates. Much easier to get caught up. Sounds like fun so far, and it makes me get more excited for my trip. There are some pics here you post of attractions that I just plain "forget" about (like Hall of Presidents) that I think we should also experience next time.

Thanks!
Me too. I let the pics do the talking.
I really enjoyed that. I was surprised. I would definitely see it again.

Love your Universal updates!
Beetlejuice is a blast from the past. I remember that movie.
We were thinking of going this summer, but not sure if it's worth it.

What camera did you use? I want to buy a new camera.
Thank you. It did take me back. Love it. :lmao:
I think it is worth seeing but in the summer might be really busy, need to pick a side maybe.
The one I used on this trip was
Panasonic Lumix DMC-TS2 Digital Camera (Orange)
However on BH's site they r saying the manufacturer discontinued it. I am sure it is around somewhere though.

I have a creeper. :rotfl2:
Hey Buzz

I love beetlejuice and the 80's music.
:thumbsup2 me too

He would not understand what they r saying or meaning. Might be bored by music.
:thumbsup2

What do you do after a disaster on a subway? Well we go to an island for a relaxing weekend. Ok maybe the wrong island but let's see.
Nice start
Disney2010769.jpg

The line was long but we purchased the fastpass tix so we went right in. Had maybe a 2 minute wait.

Pray here before your tour.
Disney2010779.jpg

Then we docked. I enjoyed the ride. I know some find it bad but Jaws is in my top 5 all time favorite movies. If you go I highly recommend it.

Up next...

End of Universal Studios

If anyone is interested I have started a new blog. Has different sections for my postings and easy to find things.

Trips, weight loss and more will be on it. I will probably post my tr's there and definitely my pre tr for my October trip.

We have also decided to go back to London and Paris next year being we missed a lot and we will be going back to Disneyland Paris and staying overnight so that trip will be planned on there also.

I do hope you subscribe and join me.

Thank you,

Thanks.

I just posted the subscription button. Thought it was there.

.No ride, once it is over u walk out.

Yikes! I was a little bit scared just seeing the picture of Jaws! I could practically hear the music playing as I sat here reading!

Jaws is the one ride that my kids can vividly recall from our last trip to Universal. It is interesting to see pictures from there, since it has been so long. I don't know that we'll back over there for quite a few years, either. Maybe when the girls are pre-teens and are into all those coasters.

I haven't seen Jaws in years!
The theming is great on that ride.

Going over to join your blog. :goodvibes

i faintly remember the jaws ride as part of a tram type ride when we went to Universal in LA when i was little.

it wasnt a seperate water ride then, i wonder if it is now?

Yes, at Universal Hollywood, the Jaws experience was only part of their backlot tour. This tour also included King Kong, etc. It's been a long time since we've been there.

I haven't been on Jaws in quite a while. My goal while I'm there next week is to try to do a lot of the attractions at Universal that I haven't done in a few years.

Hope you do get there some time. You are going soon to Disney I believe. Lucky you.

Jaws is one of my favorite movies also.
:thumbsup2

We haven't been to USO since 1998. I loved Jaws. Kinda hokey but cute.
it is hokey but fun.

I remember it also on the tram in CA. I have no idea. In 95 it wasn;t but that was the last time I was there.

there u go. Thanks

lucky you going back down. My favorite was Shrek but we have not gotten to Vinny's favorite but will be tonight.

I will say I loved Amity. The area had a carnival feel and it was great. Up next we were going to fight aliens.
Disney2010795.jpg

A look at the area. Kind of.
Disney2010796.jpg

For this ride you cannot have anything in your pockets. You have to put everything into a locker. I found this to be annoying. Several rides are like this at US. The ride was a lot of fun. Picture "Toy Story Mania" cranked up a bit. The vehicles turn on their on and at one point I thought it was not going to stop. Vinny got a little dizzy.
We both enjoyed the ride but Vinny said never again because of the spinning.

Always finding a photo opportunity.
Disney2010797.jpg

Next up was a ride I wanted to go on. One of my goals I guess. The Simpsons. We did have a soda right before we went on so we sat for a few minutes. It was really hot on this day.
Disney2010800.jpg

I love the entrance.
Disney2010799.jpg

Disney2010801.jpg

The queue I thought was kind of long. I guess big crowds.
Disney2010802.jpg

Basically it is a simulator ride but it feels so real. It was great and kind of scary. You sit in a car of 8. At first the bar wouldn't close as I was the biggest but he did something to have it close. Won't reveal what, if your big you will find out. It was actually neat. Then your off on a rollercoaster. I don't want to say too much but it was fantastic. Only strange part was that at one part I could all the vehicles they have. It was like a big auditorium.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

After that we walked a little. Love this store.
Disney2010803.jpg

Saw some Halloween decorations along the way.
Disney2010805.jpg

Disney2010806.jpg

Disney2010807.jpg

Disney2010808.jpg

We did go to E.T. but decided on leaving instead. I did buy a keychain in E.T. It was $8.47. Little globe.

Now we headed out. Guess who we see again.

Then we out of there. Overall it was a fun day. Started off bad but got better and we did have fun. It is no Disney and do not go there expecting it to be. I believe we are going back in October. Maybe.

After we left we went to a Walmart. Bought a few things and headed back to POR. We freshened up a bit and then it was off to dinner.

Tonight's dinner was at the Boardwalk area. We drove over and parked in the self parking lot. That is a far walk.

Dinner
Disney2010820.jpg

No pics here. It was really dark where we sat. I know the bill was $136.07 but I have no record of what we ate. I do know I liked it but Vinny did not.

After dinner we went back to the hotel. We walked up to the Mill and got a few drinks. Then we watched tv and fell asleep.

Up next...

Breakfast with Goofy and a short day at Epcot...
