All planning done for 1st trip home to ssr in June, 12 nights in a studio. Decided to drive to save $$ plus my kids dd8 and ds4 do surprisingly well in car. Future plans are for 5 to 7 day trips in a 1 bedroom and those shorter trips we'll definitely fly. A friend mentioned since we're driving we might want to visit the beach a few days but I'm pretty set on the 12 days at WDW so....I might be able to tack an additional 2 nights, 3 days for Vero Beach. I'm wondering is this worth it too spend 3 days at VB or should I just wait and do a seperate longer trip for that?
Any others with kids 8 and 4 that liked/disliked Vero Beach? By the way the kids and I have never been to the beach and it's on my list of things to do before I turn 30 (running out of time)

DS5 loved VB when we were there this past May. He liked the beach, but loved the pool and the miniature golf (discounted for DVCers).

I think you'll really like VB, especially to wind down from 12 nights at WDW.

Have fun!

Your kids will love VB.You probably will not even leave the resort. The only problem you may have is the kids will want to go there on every trip to WDW.:p

For us, two to four nights at VB after a stay at WDW is the ideal way to end a vacation. It is a lovely resort, great pool and beach with lots of activities for the youngsters. It's only DW and me, but we enjoy sitting by the pool and reading, walking the beach, eating both on-site and off, and other low-key activities.

A must visit after doing 12 days at WDW.
DS 7 & DD 11 love Vero. Tons of stuff to do take the trip you won't be sorry. DW syas that Vero is the best trip we have ever taken. Very relaxing  :bounce: :Pinkbounc ::yes:: ::yes::

We are going to WDW for 8 days, and then capping the trip off with 4 days at VB..

Ending any trip to WDW with a few days at VB is definately worth it...

I think that you will enjoy your time at SSR more because of the fact that you already know that you will have time to unwind at VB after you leave WDW... So many people go commando at WDW and then end the vacation tired and stressed out...

This way you will have the best of both worlds... :D
