Festival of masters

I was just wondering if anyone has ever been to the Festival of Masters at Downtown Disney? I found it listed on the Disney website. Says it is an art show. Just wondering if it worth getting there early to see. Thanks for anyone who knows about it.

Festival of the Masters is an art show. Winners of various other art festivals from around the U.S. are invited to display their works. I love that weekend and go each year. I always go EARLY -- and try to do it on Friday. I am not a big fan of crowds. Saturday from about 11 on, and Sunday from 12 on gets a bit nuts.

It used to be only at Downtown Disney Marketplace, but in the past few years it has migrated over to West Side. More space. Less shade. And I miss doing my Disney shopping inbetween viewing art.

Is it worth it? If you are a fan of art, by all means yes. If going to an art gallery is not something you would normally do, then avoid the area that entire weekend.

I am an Orlando Local, and me and my wife try to attend this event every year. It is an artist's showcase of many different styles and mediums or art. very interesting, a real joy to the eyes. It gets very crowded, but you could walk the entire show in just a couple of hours.
