Has anyone tried viewing the Festival of Fantasy parade from the very end of the parade route near the parade exit? We're thinking of arriving about 15 minutes before the parade steps off and watching from there, thinking we'll have to wait about 30ish minutes for the parade to reach us. Was anyone able to get a reasonable view using a similar strategy or would it be packed by then? (Planning to do this during Spring Break).

It's as good a place as any to watch from, but in my opinion the Main Street & Flagpole area gets more crowded than the start of the parade route in Frontierland. I can usually stake that out 15 minutes before parade time and not have to wait for it to traverse the park. People often don't factor in the travel time, so they will be staking out spots considering the parade start time, even at the end of the route.

Thank you! I hear so much about watching the parade from Frontierland, I can't help but wonder if everyone is doing that now? Is it still a good spot even on busy days?

Okay, well, I can't swear that word hasn't gotten out, but in my experience (which is not all that frequent), it's still easier to watch from Frontierland than over by the Hub/Main Street. I think people sort of prefer the backdrop. On a really busy day, you likely have to get any spot earlier though.

Tbh I don't feel like this is really the case anymore--word has absolutely gotten out about Frontierland and it gets packed much earlier than it used to in years past. Even on a dead party day in September the only spots left over there were in the direct sun and we ended up watching from Main Street. While Main Street is crowded, the very end of the route is near empty and if you don't mind waiting that long I feel like it's a superior view since you get closer to the floats. With only two people we just walked up. This was the case for FoF and Boo to You as well.

Thank you!! This is what I was thinking but wondering if anyone had experience with it!!

With that all being said, it looks like they are not running the parade after Xmas. Nothing on the calendar. Odd.

The last day festival of fantasy parade is listed is just three days from now 12/20. Then no more after that.

That's odd... I know they do the Christmas parade every night as it gets closer to the Holidays so maybe they just haven't updated the calendar for next year yet?!?

(To be honest with you, I would love it if this parade doesn't happen. I hate sitting on the curb, in the heat, waiting for it. I'm only planning to do it for my Mom who will be with me this trip).

Thanks for this input. I have been wondering about this same thing!
Would the very end of the parade route be considered right by the Barber Shop?

Ah, well, this is why we can't have nice things. I loved grabbing that last-munute spot in Frontierland! I may have to reassess on my next trip.

Yes, this. We have had several times when we've entered MK right around the time that the parade is happening and we've been able to walk right up toward the exit, front row, and have a great view of the parade.

Amazing! Thank you!
