I ran on my dangerous road yesterday with my WISH shirt. Typically, I wear brighter colors and run during the bright part of the day. Cars only occationally really slow down as I pass. Usually it feels like they play, how close can I get without hitting this guy. With the safety color shirt on, I noticed that a remarkable number of people really solwed down and geve me more room.
My theory is that the safety color is the first thing that people see when it enters the line of sight and the brain registers it more quickly. It's kind of like saying, "this guy is wearing this crazy bright color. He must want to run safely and I will help him with this by giving him more room". I will be wearing the WISH shirt more as I run this particularly dangerous road.
My suggestion would be for you to wear on your WISH shirts on your training runs also and see the difference for yourself. Let me know if you have a different experience.
