Fellow readers, lets chat!

I love Fantasy, YA, and Mystery... recently I've been on a Sarah J. Maas kick. Her books are YA Fantasy with a tiny bit of "spice" if you know what I mean. ;)

I'm really enjoying the Renegades series by Marissa Meyer right now. Young adult, people with X-men-ish powers are in the world. They were being oppressed until a group decided to destroy the power structure, but did nothing to rebuild, instead terrorizing the populace. Then a group of people with powers fought back & is trying to restore civilization. But are they doing the right thing or doing it the right way? What rights/responsibilities should be on the super-powered vs the non-supers?

And if you like fairy tale retellings, Meyer's Lunar Chronicles series is interesting. (First book is Cinder.)

I recently read and enjoyed Patrick Taylor’s Irish Country Doctor series. It takes place in Northern Ireland around the 1960’s with back stories taking you to the earlier 20th century. Medical breakthroughs like ”the pill” defibrillator, and organ transplants are mentioned as part of medical school history.

One of the best non fiction I have read recently is by Isabel Wilkerson “The Great Migration.”

I also enjoy all Louise Penny books, and those too, I would recommend reading in order.

Happy Reading!

Have you read any of the Agatha Raisin series? I haven't read them all, but recently had one from the library that involved the outdoors. It was called The Walkers of Dembley (if I'm spelling that correctly).
I have not read this series. Thank you for the suggestion.
I read for fun, for an escape mostly, so generally read light hearted easy reads. I also like to read book series. Current series I read are the In Death series by JD Robb, Womans Murder Club by James Patterson, Hannah Swensen Series by Joanna Fluke. I also like Dean Koontz and Stephen King and other best sellers.
I loved the Hannah Swenson series! I wish she’d publish more.
