I don't know about you all, but this waiting is driving me :crazy2: !!!! I'm really hoping to hear something soon. It's been 17 days for us. How about you? How are you holding up?

I’m with you! I’m waiting on 100 point BWV… I was counting the days from 2-14-08 only to find out (after I sent an email asking when it was actually sent to Disney) it was sent a week later on 2-21-08!

I can't find your little smiley icon but it pretty much sums up how I feel. We got a pretty good deal on a BCV if it doesn't RORF, submitted 2/12. Its right above the rumored cut off line (price per point wise) so I have been watching the below thread multiple times a day.

"Anyone made it through (or not made it through) ROFR recently? - Section II"

And I hate to admit it I have been watching this thread like their are the enemy. :scared: (I'm sorry to those waiting for add-ons via Disney.)

"How long to add on points at sold out resort?"

I'm with ya on watching the other threads. No offense to those who have made it through so quickly, but it just burns my biscuits to see ones that have made it through ROFR in a week!!! I'm like.....c'mon Disney....throw a sister a bone! LOL!

I called last night to check and see if they would hear back from Disney over the weekend and was told no. So we've all got at least a couple more days to suffer through. I'm sooooooo ready for this to be over so we can make our reservations. Once we hear back about ROFR, then we can at least breathe a little easier.

Hang in there everyone! Our day will come! :thumbsup2

OK, you caught me on the "Rumored cut off line"! What is the rumored cut off line for BCV??? Why would the Timeshare store list a sale that was below the cut off line??? You really got me worried now because we purchased our 150 BCV points @ $86 each. Do people really offer more than the asking price??? Yikes! I wish I knew that to begin with. :scared: It was just submitted on 2/26. Now the waiting is gonna be even more stressful!

I got 150 points at BWV in the ROFR stage. I check my Emails, oh, maybe 10 to 20 times a day. Every time my phone rings I look at the caller ID hoping it's Jerry from the Timeshare Store to tell my I'm all set. The really sad part is it's only been about a week!!! I don't think I will be able to handle it if he tells me Disney bought them up. Every time I think that Disney is going to buy these points from underneath me I keep running that scene through my mind from vaction where Clark feels that Marty Moose owes him:

Clark: We watch his program, we buy his toys, we go to his movies. He owes us! Doesn't he owe us? Huh? He owes the Griswolds right? &^$#@ A right he owes us!
Ellen: Clark, you're scaring me
Clark: Don't be scared! I just think somebody owes us an explanation that's all!

:rotfl2: That is too funny!

I'm waiting for ROFR on 100 points BWV. Offered $82.00 PP and Scott at TTS said I was right on for the price. I've been waiting since 2/18.

Hey All!
I was so happy to see this thread. I am waiting on ROFR on AKL points. I am only purchasing 50 (I wanted to start small) and am anxious to hear. I want to know that I am a DVC owner not just that I am waiting to be a DVC owner!

Well, not to rain on your parade or anything, but hold on to your hats, kids.

My purchase went thru ROFR pretty quickly, I thought. (Took a week at the end of January.) :thumbsup2

Now, I'm waiting...waiting...waiting...again, this time to close escrow. I've emailed, faxed, mailed, done everything ASAP, as soon as they asked it, but it looks like my escrow won't close until at least Mid-March (if our seller completes their responsibilities promptly) and *then* it takes another 4-6 weeks to receive the deed. That would be mid- to end of April, so it will be about *3 months* total turn-around time, and that was with a quick clearing on ROFR. Our offer was accepted by our seller on January 23rd, and we're going thru The TimeShare Store. Everyone said that buying resale takes longer, but it sure makes buying direct from Disney a more viable alternative if you want things to happen faster.

I have to say that Nancy at TimeShare Closing Services has been great! Her response time to emails is among the best I've ever worked with (and that's saying a lot!)

I'm curious at what point we'll show up in the DVC system so I can book reservations. Anyone know?

Thanks,

Sue in Texas

From my understanding, after closing it takes 7-10 days for you to be in the system. I hope that's true. We're planning on taking a trip towards the end of August and would really like to hurry this thing up so that we can make our reservations.

Can you tell that I'm NOT waiting patiently?

OK, 7-10 days, well that's good news.

I rented someone else's points for our August trip, but want to make my own reservation for January '09. I'm assuming that it will be no problem to get into OKW after New Years, but I hate to take any chances! I dream of getting into AKV at 7 months, but I think that will take more luck than I've got!

OKW, 100 points, come on, come on, come on... :worship:

...patience isn't my strong suit, either... :confused3

Well here's to another day of waiting. :surfweb: popcorn:: How's everyone holding up? I'm a wreck. I just want to know one way or the other. Preferrably the way that says that we pass!

I've become obsessed... I spend more time in front of the laptop than I do behind the vacuum cleaner and sister, it ain't pretty!

In all honesty, since I'm trying to buy 100 points and then plan on adding another 50 almost immediately, if I for some reason, DON'T make it through ROFR, I'll be calling my guide and buying 160 BWV points directly through Disney. Or course, I'm still hoping for a yes, it will save me lots of money! :thumbsup2

It's been a very long time since my DH has "asked" me to throw in a load of laundry. He did this morning...

:lmao: My DH will call me from work and ask how my day is going. Then he asks, "So how long have you been on DisBoards?" !! He thinks it's funny. I think it's funny because when he gets home he does the same thing!

My DH is not a big Disney fan. Fortunately for me, he pretty much lets me do what I want. ;)

We're both scuba divers and do a lot of trips to the Caribbean to dive and our kids love RCCL so we take lots of "other" trips. I wanted DVC for early December and a girls trip with my friends at work. When I talk to my DH about Disney trips he tries really hard to look interested, but mostly he looks like this..:confused3

My DH is hooked! He's the one that made the calls to TTS and told them we wanted to make an offer on a contract! Last April was his first time at WDW and he "got it". Just him and I went back in Nov. for the F&WF and we did the DVC tour. We've been talking about buying ever since.
