Fellow DIS'ers..Should I say "Hi"!?

We'll be at POP 9/28-10/3 and I'll be wearing a lime green mickey with my screen name on it, feel free to say HI! I'm not the most outgoing person you'll ever meet but I can manage a friendly hi and probably a how are you . You'll be able to spot me by the trio of moody teenagers with me!

Probably not. I might get a Halloween T from Target or Old Navy, but that would be the extent of my "dressing up". DH definitely won't. My DD, who is 7, will be either Aurora, Snow White, or Tink. She has Snow and Tink dresses already, and "Mickey" will be leaving her the Aurora dress and tiara as a "welcome to WDW" gift.

We'll be arriving at POR on Oct 7-11. We are doing MNSSHP on the 7th. I have a mickey head on my lanyard and I printed one to put in our window. I'm hoping we get building 14 or 15, I put in a request already.

We were at a local restaurant, that we practically live at, and DS4 was talking to our waiter about this coming trip. The lady next to me saw my lime green ribbon and asked if I was a DIS'er. Why yes I am! It was Tinkerbellmom and she's from the area.

Cue the music, "It's a small world after all."

Have worn lime green each of our last 4 trips since I found the DIS. I have not seen anyone or been approached by anyone. On our last trip in January there was a couple across the parade route at AK with lime green ribbons tied to the Husbands wheel chair handles. After the parade I sought them out to talk to and it turned out that they had the ribbons on the chair to help them find it easier. I told them why I had approached the and gave them the web site. Maybe they are on the boards now that they know about it.
We will be in the World Sept. 25-Oct 1. Hope to see some lime green. Don't be afraid to talk to someone. If they don't know about us yet, tell them, they might join us in the future.

Added on Edit: There was an informal DIS meet set up for one of our days in January 05 at the pub at UK at EPCOT. We walked around inside and out for about 20 minutes around the scheduled time, with our lime green on and saw no one with lime green or anything else that would have identified them as DIS'ers. We were very disappointed.

Maybe we'll have better luck this trip.

Hi all -
Well, after reading this thread, I am definitely hitting Home Depot before our trip 10/3-10/12 to get the Mickeys. I had to laugh at myself - last 2 trips we checked into WL with TONS of curly lime green ribbon on the luggage - and the luggage stays in the room - LOL - not a good way to meet fellow DIS'ers!
I have met several people from this board in the past - we pre-arranged it) and had a wonderful time! Also great just to chat a few minutes in the parks!
We'll be at MNSSHP on 10/6 - DS(13) and DD(9) - wearing our as yet undecided costumes AND lime green Mickeys! Say hi - 'cause I'll be on the lookout for YOU!!!

I will be there the same time as you and at MNSSHP on Oct. 6th! I will be making my Home Depot "sponsored" Lime Green Mickey head pin. I would like to meet other DIS'ers so that for the next couple of months until my next Disney fix I will have an actual person to relate to on this board!

We are a family of 4 (+ 3 my cousins family) dresses as Queen of Hearts, Jafar, Dash & Hercules, please stop by and say hi, I will do the same.

We're getting close and I'm gettin' excited!!!

I'll miss y'all at the Halloween Festivities. We don't arrive until Nov 2-Nov6. But if you are there, and wearing lime green I'll say hi!! I'll have to find something lime green and obvious for my stroller too!
