and most cheerleaders are definately not self obsessed, thinks everyone loves them or think that their "all that" those are the unfortunate girls who join for the wrong reasons thinking it will make them popular or something. and you are always going to find girls like that in ANY sport you do! and if you friends one how could you stilll think that? i have friends who thought that but im a cheerleader, and definately not like that and theyve changed their minds.. and i feel bad for anyone who has girls like that on their squad

People think cheerleading is sooo easy and not a sport but when u actually do it, it get s a lot harder. I've never done compition yet but hopefully when we have tryouts for it I will make it.

Our squad now gets a long a lot better than our Jr. High one did. No body really does it anymore b/c they think that they will be popular. (We did have that though.) I know one of the people on our squad only tried out last year b/c her mom did it and lets just say she isn't very good but she still made it. I'm trying to be mean though. She also made this year but is doing a lot better. Lol.

i hate situations like that =( we had a girl who had never done cheerleading before who tried out and made it and this other girl who is AMAZING didn't and shes been doind cheerleding since she was 5! we were all soooooo shocked. and the girl who made it didn't even want it she was just tryiing out to see if shed make it (she only did because shes a really good tumbler)

good luck with competition tryouts! competition is sooooooooo much fun you'll love it... hope you make it!

Don't you guys hate when people say that cheerleading isn't a sport? It is just has hard as other sports if not harder . School cheerleading and Pop Warner I guess could be considered not a sport but All Star is so different. It is hard core. Don't you all agree?

yeah i agree.. school cheerleading ( sidelines ) is not a sport, pop warner is half sport.. if you compete ( i did ), all star ( i am )is most deff a sport.. thats what i like about all-star, practice, condition and compete,

yeah.. i heard of celebrity cheer.. wasnt someone from your gym on the cover of american cheerleader??

I've been a cheerleader since the 7th grade...and now going into my Junior year I have decided not to do it for many different reasons and I am going to run Cross Country... But...I cheered Football Sideline, Basketball Sideline(We were forced...lol), and Competive. Our team is ranked 2nd in state...so we were really good...but it is not any fun to be on the team. We are the Tigers and our colors are Orange and Black...But we don't really ever have a mascot...no one will do it, b/c the uniform is really old and smells really bad...or so I've heard...lol!
