The cost is $70.00 per person.

It was $70 the last time we went too, but since DCL is changing prices right now, you might want to check with them.

You might try going to the DCL home page and then it's fun ashore, excursions or something like that to check the current cost (I think it will give you the price, but don't shoot me if it doesnt!).

The excursion price list dated 11/5/03 still has it at $70. Just received this price list a few days ago in the mail.

This is something I THINK i would like to try..
my only real question is.. how do you get down??
LOL
I can swim, I just never liked jumping / diving boards,..

Is parasailing something that you can pre-book....like an excursion? OR do you have to do it right away when you board? Does it fill up pretty quickly? I have parasailed, but my husband never has and I would love to suprise him with a pre-booked sail-excursion!

Is there a weight limit for parasailing? My husband stands about 6'5 and weighs in at about 295 lbs. (By the time we get to CC I'll bet it will be about 305!)

Any help would be appreciated!

Maureen

As far as booking, yes, it's an excursion and can be pre-booked 60 days out. There is an upper weight limit, can't think of what it is. I know many adults go tandem, so I'd guess it's over 300 pounds.

As far as how it works, you go out on a small fishing type boat with a platform on the back. You hook into a harness thing with a parachute and lift off that platform. They ask you if you want to get your feet wet. If so, they'll touch you down to the water otherwise, they just reel you back in to the platform. You don't have to swim, and you won't get wet unless you ask.

Maximum weight limit is 375 pounds. We weren't asked if any on our boat wanted to get our feet wet, they just dunked us up to about our waist, it was fun, but if you want to take photos from up top, make sure you take a waterproof camera. We took two cameras and had a fellow parasailer take some photos of us and we were going up and coming down.
