Feeling stupidly homesick! (with questions about returning sooner!)

My DH spent today showing his mum videos of different things we did at WDW, and I am now insanely homesick!

We had said we would return in 2018 and take both our mums with us (ages away, I know, but he "wants to visit other places").

We're now thinking of taking a look once the UK free dining deals come out for 2016... but I can't remember when they are normally released. Does anyone know?

We stayed at SSR this year, and both LOVED it (DH is keen that we don't look anywhere else), but I know we might find it cheaper if I can convince him to try a moderate. If you had to pick one, knowing he likes SSR, which would you recommend?

Free dining was released end of April for the last few years.

If you want the full DDP then it has been cheaper in recent years to book OKW & SSR rather than a mod and upgrade :goodvibes

Not bothered about getting DDP. (Though that logic is EXACTLY why we ended up at SSR last time!) I think we'd be fine with QSDP next time (especially if it is just the two of us!). We found the QS portions big enough that we'd be more than content with them :)

If you are happy with QSDP, then what about Port Orleans? Both it's resorts get really good reviews and the food court is meant to be great. I am only going off what I have read mind you, as I haven't been to any yet! :lmao:

Hi
Another vote for the Port Orleans resorts. We've stayed at both a fair few times. My brother prefers the look of the Riverside , the food court there and the shop. I prefer the French Quarter as it's smaller though i do also prefer the food court in the Riverside.

They are both just a few minutes walk from each other so easy to hop around and the boat option down to Downtown Disney is a nice touch.

We also find the QS more than enough and a huge range of places to eat as well.

End of April 2015 will see deals released. I am doing a "cheap" trip in October 2015 - 2 weeks in Sports with the "free breakfast" dining plan, which I assume will be 1 QS entitlement per day. I booked that in May 2014. We have done the full dining plan a couple of times and it was just far too much food!
