Feeling sad :(

I have ADR's booked daily for our upcoming trip - we leave Saturday and arrive Monday. My children invited a little boy from school to go along, and NONE of my reservations can accommodate another person. I've tried daily/multiple times a day for weeks. Nothing open.

Will I have to cancel all my ADRs? Has anyone had luck last minute like this? What about just "showing up" with the extra person? I'm just feeling so sad and overwhelmed with this *sigh*

I'm sorry your nice gesture of bringing along a friend has spoiled your plans. I would keep trying, as the date gets closer more people will finalize their reservations and cancel those they don't intend to use.

Another thought would be to call the dining line and ask about add ons. They may be able to squeeze an extra chair in at your ADR's. Worst case, use MDE to see available reservations for each day and plan accordingly.

Hopefully some pixie dust will come your way and Disney dining will be able to help out with some, if not all of your ressies.

I know a million people on here will tell you that you will not be able to get in with your ADR's with any extra people, but I and many other people, have had no to little issues with it. (and I have doubled my party size)

If you can not get a ressie for the correct size, I would still try and do the ADR.
With this said, Have a back up plan just in case. But Disney is in the business to make money, not turn it away. As long as you have a ressie, most places will try and accommodate you. Yes, you might have to wait longer to get a table. Yes there is a chance they will say that they can not accommodate you. Those are real possibilities. But again don't loss all hope and not at least try.

Also, not sure what your party size is, I have found in the past that higher numbers sometime work. i.e. if a party of 3 doesn't work go to 4 or 5 go to 6. I know this shouldn't work, but it has for me in the past. If you have a ressie for 6 people and only 5 show up, you still have a ressie. No penalty for not all members of your party not showing up.

Have a great trip.

Sorry..wrong button. Anyway, on our trip this past Feb we were a party of 5 but the only res I could get was a for a party of four at BOG. With some initial resistance from the young man upon check-in, I was finally able to persuade him to allow us all in... I believe courtesy, friendly demeanor and persistance all helped. Good luck.

I just called Disney Dining and they were able to add my daughter to a Chef Mickey's reservation for breakfast.
Granted this wasn't quite as last minute as you. I would give them a call ASAP and see what they can do for you.

good luck pixiedust:

:thumbsup2 This!

I would also call today (or as soon as you can) and see if a CM can help you. I have had instances where I could not get the ADRs (online) I was looking for and somehow when I called they found something for me! Also, try again when you get to your hotel (assuming you are onsite). Good luck!

Have you tried calling and asking them to modify your reservations or are you just looking online? I would try calling to see if they can modify them to add another person to each one. I had to do that on our first trip. I wasn’t thinking correctly and made all of my reservations for 2 instead of 3. My son was 10 months old and I didn’t count him. The CM on the phone was able to modify all but 1 of them for me. For that one, I went early to ask about adding him and it wasn’t an issue.

I've had no problem with this at all. I have 2 brothers who live in Orlando so I never really know what meals they will be joining us for. I just book for my immediate family. If they happen to be with us that day, we just show up at the podium and say we have 1 or 2 extra people. I know being turned away is always a possibility, but it has never happened to us. We've done this at CP, Le Cellier, even Ohanas, and several others. We usually don't go at the busiest times of year, but have done it during Feb vacations (presidents week) a few times.

Also, now with the new cancellation policies, I think a lot of ressies are opening up around that 24 hour window. I would keep checking back while you are there, very easy to do on your smartphone.
