Feeling Motion after 5 day Cruise

Is it normal to feel motion after you cruise? I've never heard this but have also never cruised before. I'm doing the parks after and I sure hope I'm not sick. sick:

It just varies.... I have been on probably 10 cruises over the last 20 years (various cruise lines). It doesn't happen on every cruise. I've had it after 3 day cruises and after 7 day cruises. I fully had expected to have it some after our Alaska cruise, and had none. I can't really pinpoint anything that causes it. I've had it after very smooth cruises and not when there were rougher cruises.

Eeek - I never even thought about the after as a side effect. DH is very sensitive to spinning rides or rides like Star Tours. This thread now has me wondering if our three night cruise in December is a bad idea. We may be driving IL to FL and back (we love road trips) but having never been on a cruise, I have no idea how we will do.

I'm thinking at minimum maybe the patch from the doc for both of us?

I have the tendency to get motion sickness. This is the reason, we visit the parks, before our cruise.
