Feeling Hot Hot Hot! The Rain Curse is Broken! Two Weeks of Fun in the Sun! COMPLETE

Whew! I was so far behind.

I hadn't read since Marv was giving Rosie the business. LOL.
Toon Lagoon looks awesome! Nova was drooling over all the coasters. She saw the hulk and went crazy. Love the Rapids pics. Now I want a waterproof camera. :goodvibes

You are not that far behind then, that was only a few updates ago!

So I don't really know anything at all about Harry Potter, but the WW looks really cool. I imagine it's like a dream come true for big fans! :thumbsup2
I heard that the Dueling Dragons has been there for a while but they re-themed it when they did the expansion. Sounds like fun. Reminds me of the forward-backward thing on the Rebel Yell at Kings Dominion, which apparently doesn't even go backwards anymore. :sad2:

Yes, it used to be Dueling Dragons and now it is Dragon Challenge. Same ride, just rethemed for Harry Potter.

Marv is always giving me the business !!!:rotfl2:He has a degree in it !!:lmao:Lessa I remember Ford Anglia's .They were very common when I was still in England:thumbsup2 In fact the area I am from is called East Anglia:)

Good thing you remember them! I had never heard of them until the Harry Potter books, it must be only sold in the UK.

I am pretty busy this week plus it is Thanksgiving in the States so I figure not many people will be reading so I am going to do a big update on Tuesday to power through the rest of Harry Potter and then won't update again until the weekend. :thumbsup2 So keep your eyes open for the next update on Tuesday night!

Good idea to head back to Potterland at the end of the day. Glad you got to enjoy it while it was less crowded.

I rode dueling dragons back when they went off at the same time, and it was really neat to nearly "crash" in the air. I'm sorry that they don't do that any more!

:thumbsup2 Good. I need something to break up my studying.

Yeah, going back to finish it up at the end was a good idea, it was much less crowded! You could actually move around in the stores without crashing into people and the ride waits were not bad either. :thumbsup2

Yuck, studying, a necessary evil. I do as little as possible to still maintain an A.

May 17th continued

After riding Dragon Challenge we made our way over to The Hog's Head to meet up with Mom and Erich. I, of course, had to stop and buy another butterbeer, regular version since that is what we preferred.

It was just as delicious as it had been in the morning. I could go for a butterbeer right now! Yum!

Next we decided to make our way back to Hogwarts. We weren't going back on the ride, instead we were going to go on the Castle Tour so that Mom could see the castle and so that we could get some pictures without feeling rushed by the line of people behind us. The castle takes you through most of the same areas as the regular ride queue with a few exceptions.

To get to the castle tour head over to the lockers and the castle tour entrance is right next to them. If you get confused about where to go just ask a ride attendant as there should be several in the area.

The castle tour was enjoyable but not necessary if you had plenty of time to explore the castle while in the regular queue.

The others all made their way out of the castle and I spent a few minutes shopping in Filch's. Let's just say my credit card cried from the big dent I put into it while shopping in the Wizarding World. I bought myself a few things and I also got Caroline a few presents to send by regular mail, I mailed the package so that it would arrive a few days after her Hogwarts letter arrived by Owl Post.

Next up were the two other shops in the Wizarding World that we had not yet explored: Honeydukes and Zonko's Joke Shop both located back in Hogsmeade. So once I joined back up with the family we walked through the village to get to our destination.

If you are a Harry Potter fan you should be able to recognize most of the merchandise I posted pictures of. ;) I went a little bit crazy in here as well.... I bought it all to share with the family, not like I was going to eat it all myself! If I remember correctly we ended up with a Rock Cake, Treacle Fudge and a Cauldron Cake from the bakery counter. We also bought two chocolate frogs, Ton-Tongue Toffee, and Fizzing Whizbees. I think that was everything from that store. The Rock Cake was decent, guess Hagrid didn't make that batch as none of us ended up with a chipped tooth. ;) The Treacle Fudge was just white chocolate fudge with a few raisins, nothing special. The cauldron cake would probably have been better if we had eaten it that day but we didn't get around to it until two days later and by the then it tasted kinda stale. The chocolate frogs are solid chocolate, definitely not high quality but not too terrible. Each frog comes with a card of a famous witch or wizard just like in the books. We had rotten luck and got Godric Gryffindor in both boxes. The Fizzing Whizzbees were fun as are all fizzing chocolate candies.

With our shopping done it was time to bid adieu to the Wizarding World. We will be back!

my favorite looking dessert was the bar bell looking cupcake thing.

if it is mentioned in the movies or books i have no clue, saw the first movie i was done after that.

Lessa, I'm enjoying the updates (I haven't been posting because I've been fighting a bug for two weeks and just too tired to post a lot).

Great update!!! I needed some sweets after reading it. You gave me chocolate cravings. :rotfl:

 Yeah, the books mention all sorts of treats so, of course, I had to try them all. ;)
