Feeling a little frustrated....

I just need to vent for a minute...
I was all excited because I got a pin code for kids stay, play and dine free. The e-mail had a price example for value resort with the quick service dining plan. I wasn't sure if I could book a mod and the regular dining plan, so I called and talked to a CM.
She told me I could book a mod, gave me a quote of $2185 for POR, with the REGULAR dining plan and 7 day base passes. I had to talk it over with my husband, so I said I would call back.
Well, tonight I'm all ready to book...kind of excited...I'm sure you all understand. I go through the whole thing with the CM and everything is the same except I decided to just stick with the QS dining plan...so should have been cheaper, right??
Nope, it was $2444! For a cheaper dining plan?? I was confused, so while she's checking on it, I get online and price it out. It doesn't add up to that much.....so, I ask her about it and she says that the pin code I have is only for values. So, she did me a favor by making it $2444....
I politely declined and said I had to talk it over with my husband. She says goodbye, and then clicks over. I'm still on the phone waiting for the survey...and the CM starts venting about me to someone else!!! I was like...ummm...hello, still on the phone! She was all of sudden all sweet and apologetic and hung up quickly!
Now I don't know what to do...I was all excited to book and now I just feel bummed....I should have booked when I called the first time.....

Oh...and none of those quotes was with the travel insurance....
 
I am sorry, hugs to you! Your pin should cover mods as well but if you switch to a cheaper plan then I think that it negates the deal. I would call back and talk to another Cm to see if you can't ge the deal that you want. I would also write into the survey and tell someone about the end of the call. Everyone has a bad day but that is completely unproffessional.

The original code was for value with quick service dining, so I was trying to upgrade to mod. :confused3
I called back this morning to talk to someone different and the good news is that she confirmed that I could upgrade to a mod with that code. She apologized for the CM last night. The bad news is that the reservation system is down, so I have to call back....
I'm starting to think this trip wasn't meant to be...tried to book it twice in the last 24 hours...and still have to try again!!:rotfl:
 
When you call back, if you aren't ready to put down your deposit, ask the CM to give you a hold on the ressie for up to 7 days!! They won't tell you up front that they can do this, but you can. They ask you "Would you like for me to book this offer?" and you can reply "Can you give me a 7 day hold so I can discuss it over with my DH?"

I learned little bit of info from my own experiences last March. Each time I called I couldn't get the same offer, as I was trying to book very close to travel dates. I ended up using a TA, who got a hold for me each time she made a quote. "THIS IS GREAT!!" I thought, only to find out later that I could've done the same thing myself. :rotfl: Although the TA REALLY helped me, and I'm glad I used her.
 

If you got the CMs name, I would complain. They should not be complaining about customers on a recorded line, period.

As mentioned above though, you can do a hold without making a deposit. This was offered to me in the past.
