Feeling a bit daunted by all of this!

I'm looking at options for a wedding in Disney in a couple of years time and it seems really daunting thinking about it from the UK.

We will probably only have around 8-10 people (excluding us) and we were wondering what to do with people before the wedding? Is there somewhere they can all go for a drink beforehand? I love the idea of Sea Breeze Point at the Boardwalk.

Where do you go for the cake cutting afterwards? I'd like to book a lunch at a place on the Boardwalk, then chill out for a while and go to Epcot. We love Epcot and the atmosphere.

I'm sure the Disney wedding planners have all the answers but if anyone can help me out with a few answers/ideas that would be great. I've read some of the planning threads and they seem to be on a much bigger scale than ours will be.

Thanks.

ps. The reason I say 'I' and and not 'we' is that I haven't asked him to marry me yet- that will be on 30th September this year at Spoodles! He knows we've booked it for his birthday but has no idea I'm going to ask him :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

Seabreeze point is a very nice spot. There is a number of things that your guests can do around there. They have a couple of restaurants (as you already know), and a couple of shops. Not only that but they can always walk around the resorts around there. There are places like ESPN club were they can get a prewedding drink. The cake cutting afterwards is right next to the SBP pavilion, so you won't have to travel far. Also, if you plan on going to Epcot afterwards, just know that you can't wear your wedding apparrel in the parks. GL with the purposal, and can you tell us how you plan on doing it????

Thank you for posting back. I'm sure I'll feel a bit more settled when we've been in September. We haven't been to the Boardwalk before so can't wait to see it. I've been going WDW for many years but it was his first time a couple of years ago. He had the same look on his face seeing everything for the first time as I did all those years ago - that's how I knew I had the right person. When a 45 year old man looks as excited as a 6 year old kid...!

I'm not sure how I'm going to ask yet! We always seem to be away for his birthday, and the joke is what we can do to top the last time. A few years ago we climbed the highest mountain in Wales, the year before that we were in Barcelona and a couple of years ago we were in Epcot.

I've got Spoodles booked on the 30th September this year for his birthday, and I might arrange for a "Will you marry me?" cake. I've got a couple of nights in a villa and studio (courtesy of DVC points rental) that he knows nothing about to which will be such a surprise.

I also know he'll say something like "well, what's next year going to be?" and I could say something like "Nothing, because if you say yes and and marry me we'll be saving to get married here the following year."

I can't wait, it is going to be so much fun!!

How exciting...you Go!!!

Ok this is what i remember from our DFTW....cake was served right after the ceremony off to the side at a table with champagne toast & a 1st dance with your soloist there.

I only had my mom & her ex there so they tagged along with us...we walked around the Boardwalk & got pictures & took a boat ride in the lagoon. It was perfect & by the time we were done...it was time to eat...we ate at Yachtmans Steakhouse across the lagoon from Boardwalk (yummy)

Otherwise, like Holly put it...theres ESPN & other places to walk around to

Oh & since you cant wear your dress in Epcot, I think I recall that you could take the boat ride in that lagoon since its connected to the Boardwalk...might check into that

GL & welcome & congrats:goodvibes

Thanks for all the info, really appreciate it.

Just got to save money now - that's the hard bit!
