For our next trip, we are planning to try some new spots, including BOMA, Liberty Tree Tavern, and Whispering Canyon. For those of you who have eaten at these spots, any thoughts???

All that I can speak of is Liberty Tavern Inn. I found the food okay-except that nasty macaroni and cheese. The character interaction is really good. When I was there(Sept.05)there was Chip,Dale,Goofy and Minnie. The characters came around several times and were very animated and funny. The place is kinda dark so I would suggest taking a few practice shots with your camera to get the right settings for your camera.

Remember that only Dinner has the characters.

I have never been to Boma so I can't say anything there and it has been a real long time since I have been to Whispering Canyon and I am sure you would like some recent reviews.

LTT - great character interaction and I loved the food. The salad and rolls with that honey butter are great, the meat was just good, not great, but the sides were so yummy. It was like Thanksgiving! One word of warning about LTT - use the bathroom beforehand. There is only one little bathroom upstairs and if it's crowded, you'll wait for 15 minutes!

WCC - very entertaining. Dd was happy with this meal. She got to play with the Lincoln logs while waiting for dinner, ride the stick pony, sing Happy Birthday to a very embarassed 10 year old boy, take the ketchup to the tables and one of the best milkshakes ever. The skillet looked yummy, but it was just her and I so I had the meatloaf. It was good, but too much. Very full when I left. Nice to walk around the WL too.

Sorry, have yet to try Boma, although I have heard it's amazing and I often recommend it to people just based on what I have read in numerous reviews.

Liberty Tee Tavern - we loved it! It's become our traditional first night dinner. When we were there last May, the characters were Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, Chip, & Dale. We thought the food (except for the mac & cheese) was really good - I especially loved the Declaration Salad w/ the yummy strawberry vinegarette dressing. Food is served family-style - ham, turkey, roast beef, mashed potatoes, green beans, mac & cheese, rolls, salad, & some sort of cobbler for dessert.

After you check-in & your table is ready, the CM will call you by your name & where you're from - "The Smiths from Montana!" - which is fun.

We thought the character interaction here was really good - the characters came by our table several times. And, although it was crowded when we were there, we checked in about 15 minutes earlier than our ADR time & were called to our table right at our ADR time.

Boma - we really enjoyed this one too! I wish I could fit it into our dining plans for our upcoming trip. It's a perfect "wrap-up" after a day at AK. The buffet selections are varied & plentiful, and there are enough selections for even the picky eaters. There is also a section of the buffet w/ traditional children's choices as well. I had some sort of soup which was amazingly good, and I fell in love w/ zebra domes. The Animal Kingdom Lodge is a gorgeous resort, and the CM's there are so friendly. We got there early so that we could walk around & look at all the animals.

Whispering Canyon Cafe - we've never been here, but we're trying it for the 1st time in June for dinner. The reviews are almost always good, and it looks like a fun family restaurant w/ all the server antics & other fun things like stick horse races. My kids are excited about the all-you-can-drink milkshakes. I'm excited about seeing the Wilderness Lodge!

LTT- I thought was very good and the Character interaction was very good. Have to say I loved the salad and meat selection but, also agree on the macaroni and cheese that I really didn't care for it but if you have kids they will love it
BOMA- I really didnt care for exspecially for the price. The food is really exotic and you have to have a feel for a different taste in food. It however is something that im glad we experienced. Not a good place to take kids in my opinion.

The only one I can comment on it LTT. We had dinner there last Oct and loved it :thumbsup2 The food and characters were great! I would definately eat there again.

We did Boma last year and WCC 2 years ago. I absolutely LOVED Boma. It's my faovrite restaurant there. The food was just so excellent and the CMs were wonderful. I chatted with the pastry chef for a little bit who was just so kind. I love everything about it.

The atmosphere at WCC was a lot of fun (be prepared for a noisy environment). My husband and I weren't too impressed with the food, but we did like our desserts. While we had a fun time, I doubt we'd go back again.

i wouldn't recommend Whispering Canyon unless you have kids or are VERY tolerant. it's extremely loud at all times and kids are running around and ketchup is being thrown around the tables.....it's crazy. and i know some people are thinking "it's Disney it's bound to be like that!" and i know that it gets like that at some restaurants...but times that by like 10 and that's what you'll get there. and the CM's don't talk...they yell. and i have this thing about people i don't know touching me or my things....i don't like it....so when they tried to place napkins in my head in funny shapes i got kind of aggitated.

We have been to Boma & WCC several times and always had great food and service. We ate at Boma again this past October when we stayed at AKL and enjoyed it again. I just love the soups and different foods they have. We also dine at Jiko on each trip, it is our favorite place to eat at WDW.

We dined at Boma in Sept. and LOVED it! Our 4 year old daughter couldn't get enough of the authentic foods. She wouldn't even look at the "chicken fingers, mac and cheese, etc..." The service was impressive as well.

I love WCC!! It has great food and great fun! This was one of favorite places to eat. The antics are so much fun, they even had my stiff, serious BIL laughing!! and the is delicious. I had the skillet and chocolate cake for dessert!! YUM :)

We also enjoyed LTT. The food was good, pretty much standard Thanksgiving fare. Character interaction was good. My only complaint was that it was pretty dark where we were seated. Even our pictures and video didn't turn out that good. I did like how the characters were costumed. :)
