I have two boys 6 & 9 and was thinking it may be fun for them to be made over into pirates. Can anyone share how long it took and what was your experience? pirate:
Thank you.

We had an appointment at 4:50 on the 10/27. We arrived at 4:30 and weren't able to check in until 4:45. Okay. After we checked in we got called back at 5:20, the boys got their pirate names and we were told there would be a wait. I asked how long because my boys were already tired of waiting and wanted to go on rides. She came back and told me the wait would be 30 minutes. I told her that wasn't going to be possible and we left and not charged a cancellation. I was really bummed, and the kids were happy to be on the rides and not waiting.

My girls both did the pirate league and LOVED it. We booked early in the morning and had no waiting issues.

My kids did the pirates leaugue it early oct (ds 9, ds5,dd4) and loved it. It was so much fun. We had an appt at 9:40 and didn't get out of there until after 11:30. It took away a huge chunk of our morning. After they get there swords they bring you in a room for pictures too, which I didn't buy so it was a waste. Overall a fun experience but it does take a long time!

Our DS aged 6 did this on our last trip - although we thought it was totally disorganised and a lot of waiting around and nothing happening - he loved it - and we have booked again for our trip in April 2014.

Just to bear in mind as well they do a parade at the end of the about 4pm I think it was around Adventureland of all the pirates who have taken part in the pirates league that day - this was fantastic and really made our son's pirate day. They even had a group photo taken for FP.

The parade as really well organised - they laid a piece of rope on the ground and got a child on alternating sides of the rope all the way along it - they were told to keep hold of the rope at all times.

Enjoy

FWIW with Photopass+ you get those pictures included. So if someone buys + (and as long as nothing changes) don't skip the pictures.
