Feedback for Mama Melrose and Tokyo Dining please

Any thoughts on Tokyo Dining? We've never been and the menu sounds pretty good.

We ate at MM about 10 years ago, and planned to never return. The food wasn't good at all. However, we thought about giving it another try. Normally we eat at 50'sPT and enjoy it, but DH is wanting to try something new. With HS not giving a lot of options, we thought about going back to MM.

We've always found the Tokyo Dining to be good. Nothing different than what you get other places but that's not really a bad thing.

We are the same as you with MM. We ate there one time and thought the food was mediocre at best and the service was super slow and inattentive. HS dining options are pretty bad but not bad enough to lead us back to MM.

We've been to both last year and we thought both places were really good. Tokyo dining we, including the kids, loved a lot. We're booked there for the third year in a row. Excellent food and service. We thought MM had great Italian food and in our opinion probably the best 1 table service meal/place in HS.

We loved Mama Melrose in november and our server Was attentive. We had The Fantasmic package.

We really enjoyed MM in October. We had the Fantasmic package and were a large party. Service and food were both very good. We would return.

I would say that Mama Melrose is ok... It is neither great nor is it terrible... I'd say perhaps a bit above a place like Olive Garden. I really don't go out of my way to dine anywhere in HS whether it be a TS or CS restaurant, but when I do plan to watch Fantamic then I do MM and the Fantasmic package. As for Tokyo Dining; it's really not all that different than any sushi/Asian restaurant I've been to including the one my DD (18) works at and the one we dine at pretty often. As a previous post mentioned, that is not a bad thing. The food is good and the service is perhaps some of the friendliest and best I have experienced anywhere. Tokyo Dining is very high on our list of Disney Restaurants.

We just ate at MM a few weeks ago and we really enjoyed our food. The service we had was good, not great. She did keep our water glass filled fairly well, which is important to me. I was with my 16y.o. DD so we stuck with basics. We had the calamari app. Very good. We shared the chicken parm. I thought is was good. I would give it another try.

We did MM the last two years and enjoyed it! We had excellent service! And we got a lot of food w/the Fantasmic package. We thought the food was tasty.

We like Mama Melrose. SO far, the service has always been good, sometime excellent, but never subpar.

WE have never waited long for our table, and we have always enjoyed our food. I tend to get teh steak, and if yo just have not had the filet at Narcoossees, it is delicious. The calimari is my appetizer of choice.

Mama Melrose - We loved it and we would eat there again.
Tokyo Dining - We just didn't enjoy it at all. It could be that we could have ordered something else and enjoyed it, but we have no plans on going there ever again. We did enjoy Teppan Edo which is next door.

We had a Fantasmic! lunch package at MM a few weeks ago and we all really enjoyed it. The dining party was myself, DH, DD (she is three), and my parents. I can't remember what everyone had, but I super loved my gluten free penne alla vodka, DD chowed down on spaghetti and meatballs, and my dad had something seafood that he said was one of his best meals ever in Disney. (It may have been some kind of fish that was a daily special? Grouper, perhaps?)

Also, we had an awesome server!

DH and I ate at Tokyo Dining for the first time in Jan. It was last minute and we weren't expecting much but we ended up loving it, and we're going back with our kids in Nov. We both thought the food was great and watching Illuminations from their balcony was beautiful

We love love love love Mama Melrose! We eat there EVERY. SINGLE. TRIP. Its absolutely delicious. My husband and oldest son rave about the steak. I of course rave about the Sangria... its delicious!
