If no one is home at time of delivery, will FedEx leave the package by the door?

Only if someone signed the little section on the delivery slip saying that no one needs to sign for the package.


They'll usually leave a slip on your door, saying that they tried to deliver and will try again at a later time (could be the next day or 2) or you can go to FedEx and pick it up yourself.

Depends on what you (the sender) request. If you ask that a signature be obtained, then it will only be delivered when it can be signed for. However, there's a box on the form you can check to 'waive' the signature requirement for deliveries. If you check that box, they'll leave the package without anyone home. Hope this helps.

Thanks. I ordered online at Amazon.com and it was supposed to be delivered tomorrow afternoon. But when I looked up the tracking number today, it says it's on FedEx vehicle for delivery. I'm just hoping they leave it at the door if no one is home.

They leave packages that don't require a signature. That is usually for higher priced things. Anything else and he leave it on the porch.

I have ordered from Amazon a bunch of times and they always leave it. Just my experience.
