FedEx Question... Do You Know?

We've been home all day, but somehow we missed FedEx when they came by. I don't think they even rang... :rolleyes1 Anyways, someone is sending us a "sign on delivery" package, but we have no clue who or what it is. FedEx left us a sticker on our door saying that they made a "first attempt" and that we can pick it up after 6pm... at a location about 40 MINUTES AWAY! :headache:

Do they generally make multiple attempts, or are we looking at a 40 minute drive tonight? :confused3

Can you go online and check the door tag tracking number or have someone check the system and let you know who the package was sent to you by? Usually, FedEx will make 3 attempts before returning the package to the sender. Is there an option for you to sign the tag to indicate the package can be left at your door? I'd call FedEx to discuss your options.

I think they will attempt again.
I wouldn't drive 40 min for something I am not expecting!

You can call their office and ask them if they will try again tomorrow. I think the slip usually says something about when they would try delivering again (maybe that's UPS...).

I believe they will make three attempts; one per day; and then send it back. A call to them may get them to put off making a delivery attempt until a later date, and/or hold the item at the office.

They generally don't make multiple delivery attempts in the same day, though stranger things have happened.

Yeah, that was my question. Looked it up on the website and it looks like it is my last paycheck, so we aren't taking any chances and will be making the trip, as we won't be home tomorrow or all weekend.

Thanks!
