I wonder if the issue with the delay isnt affecting those of you who put an amount in the Make it Pay work section. (I think that is what it is called.) We shouldn't have needed to put anything in that section because we didn't receive checks. We should only put something in that section if you don't work or are disabled. I don't remember the exact wording but some people who could not recieve the credit through changes to the payroll taxes recieved got a one time check. I think social security reciepients and maybe disability recipients. These are the people who should have put an amount in it. I didn't put any amount in there and I filed mine on 1/30 and it was direct deposited on 2/5. Friday to Friday.
If you didn't receive a check and you worked you received a 400 credit for single 800 credit for married. They reduced the taxes taken out of your check during the year so you in a way already received the money but if you don't claim the credit you don't get the full benefit of the program.
I am really hoping that I'll check my account this week and find it. We so need that money right now.
Our Georgia refund was in there today.....and I filed it last week....so YAY for them and their quick processing.
So glad to get it on schedule this year after being delayed so much last year. Everyone check your status this morning because on Tuesday night is when the IRS usually makes their status change to a certain date of direct deposit or another date of delay. Hopefully no one gets the delay.
