Fed up...

We came this time two years ago and it was wall to wall sunshine(very hard on kids stanima). Also did Disney in feb twice, first year mid 20s second year freezing:confused3.Just saying each year is very different.
We fly home to sunny Manchester tomorrow, swap?:rotfl:

Not sure id do this time of year again now either! I've been spoilt by sunny August, September and October trips... One thing I have noticed is that the ducks seem much happier here, it's actually kind of funny ;)

Crossing my fingers illuminations isn't cancelled tonight but we still had a fun day regardless. I just needed a small rant about the weather, now I can hopefully get over it ;)

Its just so unpredicatable the Florida weather.

Last year was our wettest coldest October since we started visiting back in 2008,I was absolutely gutted, 2009 however was piping hot, high 90's every day  It really does put a dampner on your day rain, I can truely sympathise. Seeing the sun just gives you a totally different outlook on your day.

I wish you mountains of pixie dust and sunshine :wizard:

:sad2: Ah, what a shame.

In May it rained from around 4pm all through the night on one of the days. We tried to stick it out at IOA but the rides were getting shut down as the rain got heavier and then turned to giant hailstones. We decided to go back to the hotel. That was just one afternoon/night and I was gutted! :rotfl:

Really hope the weather picks up for you :goodvibes

So sorry that the weather is putting a dampener (no pun intended) on your holiday - it can be really depressing when you have spent so much time looking forward to it. I can only echo what others have said, though, and urge you to make the most of your time there regardless as you will regret it when you come home if you spend all your time thinking 'if only we'd done this/that/the other'.

We went in February for DH's Brithday in 2007 - loads of people told me Feb was a lovely time of year. Well, it was absolutely freezing and I hate the cold with a passion. We also had a great deal of rain and it was no fun - but we still had a great time. There was no way I was letting the weather stop us from enjoying ourselves.

Hope the weather picks up for you and you enjoy the rest of your time there :goodvibes

Sorry to hear that the weathers cold & wet. It does get you down when its so continuous. I remember in Aug 08, the first 8 days were spent in the rain, proper grey skies & we were so cold through not drying out. I think it felt so bad because although we expected afternoon rain, we had always had sunny rain not British rain, it was so depressing at the time. The parks were pretty empty though. I hope it brightens up for you.

Well, we headed out tonight (in the rain :rotfl:) went to Coral Reef, dried ourselves out (the rain was painful) then headed home. Epcot was empty (I'm talking nobody anywhere) but Soarin still had a 75 minute wait.

We were told at 8 30 that Illuminations would be cancelled due to thunder so we decided to have a chill out back in the room. We are still upbeat despite the rain, although the wine at dinner may have helped, haha!

We had planned TL for tomorrow but the water parks were all shut again today so I guess our plans may change. Disappointing as the kids favourite thing so far was BB. Never mind :)

Aww we were there beginning of may and our kids discovered a massive love of bb so much so we spent 3 days there! Sorry to hear about the weather it must be making such an expensive longed for trip very miserable!! :grouphug: I just checked my iPhone app nd the wether looks rubbish again today :headache: hopefully you can get a break in the rain to enjoy at least a few hours each day x :flower3:

Glad to hear that you are making the best of your holiday despite the weather.

Sending you lots of pixiedust:

We had a similar two weeks at the YC several years ago. Few suggestions are
1- hit the malls
2- hit the Spa for some treatments , even if you have to split the child care it's worth it.
3- afternoon tea at the GF
4- go to the pool, you'll be wet anyway.
5- ride the monorail and explore the hotels
6- put the kids in kids club ( ours love it) and go to the bar for some pm shandys! And the kids get to play with other children.
Hope this helps, we have 70 mph winds and torrential rain back here at the moment, I know where I'd rather be :)

Yep - weather forecast for today is rain, all day. Ugh.

My DD6 just saw sun on the weather channel and got really excited until I told her that was a different part of the US :sad2:

I feel for you so much flortlebap  I know people say they would rather be in a rainy WDW than a rainy UK but I totally wouldn't. Afternoon showers are fine, they come and go and don't ruin the day but constant rain all day every day and water parks closed, parades cancelled, fireworks cancelled.....just not my idea of a fun Florida holiday!

It's not exactly cheap to go to Orlando, I certainly wouldn't want to spend 2 weeks indoors playing board games, days shopping in the malls (I do hate shopping though :rolleyes1) and other things that I could do back home!

Really really hoping things pick up and you get some sunshine in your last days :)

Lol, we leave on the 13th.

ITA with you Lisa. I'd rather not have spent 10k for 7 of us to come over here in the rain! We probably won't go back for years either as it's so expensive and after a year of planning it's just been a huge disappointment.

Lesson learned though, next time I'll find the most bone dry time of year possible and the kids will just have to miss school! Lol

Hi
The weather at home has been horrid wet and cold for the last wk well last night it got so windy that our gazebo got knocked down!!! Anyways I woke this morning to more rain and my 1st thought was of you and how I would hate to be in Disney in this!!!

I know plenty of people say about Id rather be at Disney in the rain then home/work anyday Well.....me not so much :rotfl: I would rather be at Disney in the hot sun! I feel so very sorry for you and I really hope that you get some beautiful weather days for the rest of your holiday.its so dissapointing when you have children that are excited to go and do this/that and you cant because of the rain...... the boys are ment to be going to Lego land on sunday and I know they will be dissapointed as I just cant see that happening at the moment, So I cant imagine how you guys must feel having to face that everday of your trip!

Sending you lots of   and pixiedust:
ill be keeping my fingers crossed that everything improves for you :)

Try not worry about that far ahead accuweather have changed the forecast for my dates 3 times since yesterday morn ;)

The main thing is it is starting to look better for those that are out there from tomorrow until the 14th now showing sun:cheer2: After that is anyones guess orlando forcasts are usually only good up to 7 days ahead esp in the summer as TD form in the carb and atlantic basins and take between 7-10 days to read FL and can turn away/ towards last minute. Even over xmas the very cold spells only seem to pop up with about 4-6 days warning at best.

The Orlando Sentinel reckons it is gonna clear up by tomorrow morning!! :cool1: Next few days only partly cloudy!
They usually know what is coming to them so cross fingers!

http://www.orlandosentinel.com/weather/

Weatherwise there does not seem to be a safe time to go anymore. We always manage to gets quite a few days of total rain now. :sad2: .....but it makes you appreciate it more when the sun does come out!

49 days to go!

It could be worse you could be here where it is colder and wetter!
