We have been three times the week prior to the holiday weekend (usually about the 10th - 16th or so.). Monday through Thursday is usually great! On Friday morning MK is usually ok. By Friday afternoon it is really crowded (compared to the beginning of the week). We now plan our trip to do our last park on Thursday and head home on Friday. However, we drive north and hit all the Datona traffic for an hour or so on Friday or Saturday departure. This time we will leave early in the am to avoid the jams.
I'm hoping that the crowds are manageable because we'll be there at the same time this year.
2/10-2/17. We leave early, early on Saturday morning. It actually worked out pretty good with dd's schedule at school--they have that Friday off and two half-days during the week for parent/teacher conferences.
We're so excited--particularly since we just decided to go a week ago!
Always glad to meet the folks from across the pond when we are at WDW.
For ALL of the American holidays, just use a Google seach for "US Holidays" or "Federal Holidays" (many of the Legal Holidays are "placed" on a Monday, so they can "move" a bit every year.)
Then, you can always post back here to see if any given holiday is a "BIGGIE" or "NO biggie" for WDW crowds.
BTW, since the word "holiday" is used in the UK the way most Yanks use the word "vacation"...
What word is commonly used over there for a day that "most offices are closed"?
