Hi all - Can anyone who was there the first week in February report about the crowds and the weather? WE are going in 2015 and I have booked for Feb. but wonder if it is going to be an OK time....
I booked cuz it looked like that was the lowest priced time of the year ... but I am worried that the weather might be awful....

Thanks

We were there the 2nd week in Feb this year and it was in the 60s most days but got down to the 40s at night. Was down right cold for IllumiNations. But that doesn't meen next year will be the same. FL had some pretty cold weather this year as has the rest of the country. I remember being there some years ago and it wasn't that bad. So it is hit or miss that time of year. Crowds weren't bad during the week, even with all the South American tour groups, but got crowded on the weekend but that is normal (when the locals go).

It is really just chance. Two people from dh's work went before us (one early Jan and one mid Jan) and one went after. They all had very cold weather, ours wasn't so bad.
The we got there it was cold and rainy (60s), the Saturday was chilly in the morning but probably mid-70s during the day. Sunday day started off terribly foggy but was beautiful, sunny and 80s. Monday and Tuesday was more sunny and 80s. Wednesday was sunny and 80s most of the day with a shower or two. Thursday was cold and rainy, as was the Friday we flew out.

Just like everywhere (especially deep south) the weather is different from year to year. If you go, expect 'anything' and you won't be disappointed! :)

Disney in February will be between 40 and 70 degrees with a chance of showers.:rotfl2::rotfl2: February is kind of hard to predict based on history. Normal averages are in the 50's to low 60's day and 40's to low 50's at night. Report came from a very reliable source living in Orlando. Rain is completely random and unpredictable so I would say dress for 50's and adjust as needed.

Good luck. The crowds were reported as being low for most of the time, the exception being vacation week where they were manageable, but busy.

arh - i chose the first week in feb because I wanted low crowds, cheap prices, lol
but we are staying at the Coronado and I really want to get to use that pool!!!!!

Do you belong to the Polar Bear Club? :rolleyes1

We stayed the first week of February and there were people in the pool almost everyday. We were in the pool one afternoon and it was more than warm enough. Even if the outside temps aren't, the pools are heated.

We have been going in mid February for years. Two years the temp made it into the 80s and then some times it went to the 40s but each year we were always able to swim. I like that time the best.
