We are booked to go to WDW in February. I was wondering what the weather will be like and what I will need to pack. We went to Florida (Universal) for March Break one year and were shocked to find that we needed to wear pants and jackets from the 2nd day to the end of the week. The day we landed it was hot, probably in the 80 to 85 degree range and did not cool down too much at night. The kids spent the day in the pool. On the second day after the afternoon rain it got so cold and we were at Universal and quite unprepared for the drop in temperature. There wasn't anyone in the pool for the rest of the week. Staff at the hotel kept apologizing for the weather. What is usually the norm for February?

I always pack to match our (Ontario's) Summer and Fall seasons and I pack gloves that I found at Zellers. They are .97 and fit in your pocket. Of course the cm's always ask if we are Canadian because we are in shorts and they are in big heavy sweaters! I started bringing extra gloves with me, our last Jan. trip my whole family gave their gloves away to a family from Texas. They were freezing!

If you're going in early feb, I would pack more for fall -- pants/jeans with a t-shirt and windbreaker should be fine. But we used to always go the last 2 weeks of Feb, and we'd start out in the above apparel, but by about day 3 or 4, we'd be in shorts. Definitely cools off quickly at night though, so if you're at the parks in shorts, be sure to take sweatshirts for the evening 'cause you'll definitely need 'em.

Whatever the temp, it's always still good for swimming and it's always warmer than here ... and usually no "white stuff" -- sorry, not allowed to use the s-word on these boards :teeth:

We've been mid-Jan a few times and going this Feb. The weather looks roughly the same. In other words, pack everything, lol. I found a windsuit great. I would wear or bring shorts with me, a T-shirt under the jacket and stripped as the day went on. A windsuit easily squeezed into our backpack. We always got a few hot days for a waterpark and the rest of the time was shorts or light pants. Its cool in the morning and evenings but my DH and DD lived in shorts anyway. I never needed gloves but I don't wear them at home either unless we hit in the -20s, lol. Most of the time, I find it perfect park weather and wouldn't want to be there when its too hot anyways.

We are going the last week of January to the 1st week of Feb.. do you think it will about the same as mentioned.. (26th-2nd)
I know it is early to pack.. but hey it has been almost 10 years since I was there.. lol I have to obsess!

We're going Feb. 4 - 18 and as I was clearing out our summer clothes for storage the other day, I thought, hey why not put this stuff somewhere to have it ready for Feb. So I put what I'll want to take to Florida in a plastic tote and closer to our departure I will just pull out what I want to take, throw it in the washer and dryer and right into the suitcase. I was considering putting it right into the suitcase now, but figured it'd need to be freshened up before we left. I'm getting bored cause I've pretty much finished up the planning. What am I gonna do for the next 3 months!!!

LOL! That is EXACTLY what I did.. no sense in putting them away for the winter right! saves digging through the totes of ALL the clothes.... NO I am not trying to justify what I did.. nope not me.. ha ha ha ::yes::

Those .97 mini mitts cost a fortune in WDW so take warm clothes. Zip off pants with shorts are awesome as you take layers off as the day progresses. The stroller or locker can harbour those items!

We love Jan Feb to go as we have so much room and we don't roast in the hot sun (we do like heat but not in line ups if there are any).

Went for 8 or 9 years in a row the first two weeks of February. It could be 25 or 12 and below freezing in the morning or 10. Like everyone else has said take lots of stuff.

At our house we have a "Florida bucket". It is always out in the open and waiting for stuff to be added to it. We always take clothes that are on their last legs for the trip down so that we can just throw them out and not have any laundry. I keep my sandals and stuff in there. It seems weird to me that some people don't have a Florida bucket.

February is a great time to go though because there is no one there (as long as you're not there over Presidents' Day????, the third Monday in February). I kid you not. You could shoot a cannon down any path in Epcot and not hit anyone.
