February vs April?

We booked a 2br dedicated theme park view for a week next February literally at exactly 11 months. Now, our guests decided that they cannot come with us. So, we're going to re-book a 1br or a studio for just the two of us. February, our preferred month for temperatures and crowds, has no availability because it is now under 7 months.

We've been to WDW in mid and late March. The weather was nice, but it was ridiculously crowded.

We've never been there in April, and the park calendars seem to indicate that it's less crowded than March. But, how is the weather in early April?

I should mention we live in the mountains. It rarely goes above 85 degrees, and humidity is generally low. One year we went to WDW in September, and thought we were in a blast furnace when the temperature hit in the high 80's with high humidity. It was so bad that we left the parks by noon each day and found air conditioned spaces until the sun set.

This past April was hot. Highs in 90s/upper 80s with lows in 70s.

You mention early April. Easter is March 31. Easter week is traditionally one of the most crowded weeks of the year, and thus if mean time from April 1-6, you should expect huge crowds -- far more than anything you saw in March unless one of your March trips included the week before or of Easter. After Easter week it becomes tamer in April but still quite crowded, but closer to those March crowds. April is often in the mid-80's to low 90's. One difference from what you get in September is that the humidity is not as bad in April as Sep. making the hot days less unpleasant and evenings generally fine.

I completely forgot about the "Easter" factor! We may just keep the 2br theme park view and ignore the fact that we burned a ridiculous number of points on the reliance that others wanted to join us.

April can be hit or miss with the weather. Its never too cold, usually pleasant on the warmer side, but could definitely see some days pushing up to 90.

Sorry that happened, but I would at least wait list and stalk, you may get a less expensive villa and save those points.
Agree 100%. As long as we still had control of any 'returned' points (and weren't going to lose them anyway), the 'stalk and waitlist' approach is a good suggestion. Nothing is lost by doing it.

How many you got room for? Worst case scenario we dump our kids at the grandparents... ;)

We went for Easter in 2022. It seemed like the weather was not so bad, and we enjoyed it. But then, I tend to have rose colored glasses when it comes to Disney vacation memories.
