We don't return home until late April, we leave FW on March 5th, then the Keys are next, back to FW on 4-2 for a week, then up to Navarre Beach before heading back, so at least some April posts, maybe some random stuff in betweenGrilled cheese sandwiches are a favorite of mine, @team bradfield . The hotter the pan, the crispier and crunchier the sandwich can be.
Make at least TWO for me.
Curious minds want to know, though: as the month nears its end, when will the @team bradfield trip report (which I have loved and lived vicariously thru) turn back into a pumpkin (and go home)? I wish the updates could continue forever but I don't think I'm that lucky.

PS - a super chilled glass (or two) of Pinot Grigio with the cheese sandwiches is <chefs kiss> so good.
@team bradfield @bama_ed My ask to you (the grilled cheese afficionados), is what sort of cheese his king on the crispy, buttery grilled bread? (Haven't tried wine with grilled cheese yet..interesting..)
Italian sounds goodOkay, you grilled cheese lovers. We have a food truck in our area that serves some of these beauties and we have tried them at the campground (here at home) Thoughts?

My favorite is the Wolfman!
Ok, I'm going to horrify you. One of my favorite ways to make grilled cheese is with an iron - for ironing clothes. Set it at it's highest setting, take your bread, add a little butter to the outside of each slice, then two pieces of cheese (your choice). Wrap it all up in aluminum foil, then set the iron on top of it! Leave for maybe a minute or two, then flip over! My mom used to make them for us this way when we were kids, she even had a separate iron to use (it was an old one she didn't use on clothes). They come out flat, but delicious! Kind of a precursor to a panini press! Did this in college, too. People thought I was crazy until they tried it - and no clean up required, just throw away the foil. I will admit, your method is great, too!I'm not a fan of tomato soup but I know that's a classic pairing with grilled cheese.
@Paulaparm , I would choose the Italian Job.
Honestly, I'm tweaking and upsizing the grilled cheese of my youth. That was on sliced white bread with the curved top, a hand cut slice off a block of velveeta, and potato chips. So I go Texas Toast and tots to make it more grown up. If I had to pick one of the food truck grilled cheese offerings, I would go provolone. Chedder is a firmer cheese so I don't know if it would be as ooey gooey good melted as American is.
And @4077, wine always goes with cheese. It's a fine summertime dinner.

PS - @team bradfield , that's a nice move down to the Keys coming up. Good time of year to be there.
Art festival over
Gloria Estefan, CongaEpcot day, GOTG got Gloria Esti something, Spaceship Earth, then Tacos and tostadas from margarita stand, Art festival over and F&G doesn't start till we leave, low crowds, good weather, fun just walking the showcase, and shopping
We like it, alot less crowded then F&W, good food booths and lots to seeYou showed me something in your trip report, @team bradfield , with your pics of the Arts Festival particularly the chalk art with the amazing perspectives that are incorporated into them that I was NOT aware of.
I WAS aware of Flower & Garden and Food & Wine Festivals but you showed me there are interesting things to see at Epcot this time of year with the Arts Festival.
Thanks.
