We will be visiting friends who live in Yorba Linda from Sat 2/13/10 until Thurs 2/18/10. We are planning on getting a 3-day park hopper and trying to figure out the best 3 days to go to the parks. Sunday is Valentines, Monday is President's Day. We have no problem getting to a park for opening and are fastpass vets but would still like to avoid crowds.

Thanks for any input.

The 13th and 14th are both blackout days even for Deluxe AP's, so given the trend we've been seeing where AP blackout days are the lightest days - despite holidays - those could be suprisingly good.

I'd avoid the 15th for sure - not a deluxe blackout. I'd also venture a guess that Wed & Thurs will be lighter days.

Looks like good timing in general! I guess if it were me I'd try for the 13th ( Valentines may bring out a larger crowd ), and the 17 & 18th.

I work at a school and a lot of schools in N. Cal have the whole week off... We are personally taking a group of kids (25ish) on the Disney's YES trip on the 16th...We were there last year too and it was not too bad though!

Thanks! Still waiting to get info regarding parades/fireworks/shows for that time frame. Park hours are listed but nothing else as of yet. Will Disneyland fireworks only be certain nights? What about the Electric Light Parade?

I went to DLR for Valentine's Day 4 years ago. It was the Friday of Presidents' Weekend I believe. It was PACKED. A fellow coworker went the same day and got there around noon, but DL was at capacity and he didn't get to go in.

I also went on Valentine's Day in 2003, and it was crowded but not crazy that I remember, though it was my first visit and I didn't have kids then!

In your case, I would probably aim for the 13th (longer hours), and the 16th, 17th, and/or 18th. :)
