How did your W1/D1 of C25k go?

Had a super busy week, where life just took over and I did nothing..ugh. Got back into today with 36 min of cardio. Did a Xbox Kinect workout.

Updated total: 270/1500

Still determined to get my goal!!

Sounds great!

Haven't done so well this month. I got hit with bronchitis so even getting dressed makes me winded.
Today is the first day I feel like I'm not dying so hopefully tomorrow I can hit the treadmill for a few minutes.

Feel better. Don't overdo.

i did 10 min today and 10 min yesterday to put me at 320/1000. not alot but i just wanted to move a little so i could say i moved. definitely having a lazy weekend!

Sorry, Nancy, no one with two little ones will ever convince me they've had a lazy day, much less a lazy weekend. Even if you have help with them at any time, you still are doing stuff for them or planning for them or worrying about them. LOL! Been there, done that! :rotfl2:

------------------------
As for me, I spent 2 hours on the dreadmill yesterday doing my last long training session before the princess 1/2. This morning it was a nice easy 40 minutes on a bike. I am up to 825/1500. I figure I'm about 3 days ahead of schedule though the 1/2 marathon will be a lot of minutes. I may have to reassess my goal later in the month.

Keep on moving, my friends! :grouphug: :cool1::banana::woohoo::yay::dance3:

So, my first 5k was this weekend, as part of my training for ther ToT 10-mi race in September. My goal was to make it in under an hour...and I destroyed it!!! I made it in 39:09!!!!

Then on Sunday I walked around the mall for 21 minutes. The extra minute on purpose to make it even ;)

So as of today I have 300/1000 minutes!

Thanks, sweetie! You are doing great! Do you find that the running is a good stress reliever? How was your tummy after the run yesterday? I know JUST what you were going through. For a while I worried it was the G2 or the sport beans, but it seems like it is actually the exercise and not the electrolytes. What do you think?

i hope that the tummy issues are just my body getting used to moving again. oh man. i almost didn't make it home yesterday :scared1: i ran in the door and right past my babysitter and my two little guys and straight to the bathroom. i hope it's not a lasting thing. i started back up with taking metformin a couple weeks ago so it could be just my stomach getting used to the medication too.

the farthest i've run was back in feb when i did the princess half. i was never good with nutrition during the training and will need to spend the next 11ish months trying to figure that out before the marathon. my stomach usually prefers to run when it's empty but my legs and every other part of me seems to do better with a little something in the tank. i was thinking i was going to need to take imodium before running but i don't want to go down that route. plus with nursing i'm not sure i should take that.

what do you think settles your stomach best while you run? sport beans? gu?

Food is the key! Prior to work out I make sure I have high-protein food, plenty of water and a multivitamin. Sometimes at about the hour mark I will eat half a banana or drink a pre/post work out mix (from dot fit) that has vitamins, minerals, amino acids, etc. in it.

Then of course, some days it doesn't matter if I could eat pure energy, nothing's going to get me past that 1 hour mark - just too tired! :rotfl:

Thanks for keeping track of us this month. :goodvibes

Great job, Nancy! :thumbsup2 I haven't heard of that DVD. How is it?
Core Fusion DVDs are based on the classes at the Exhale Spa. I have the Core Fusion Collection containing Body Sculpt, Pilates Plus, and Thighs & Glutes. I also have Abs & Arms. The DVD I did yesterday was Body Sculpt. (http://www.amazon.com/Exhale-Fusion...AC6O/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1329359069&sr=8-2)

Feb. 15 - 55 minutes cardio (Nordic Track and bike)
