February crowd levels

What are the crowds like mid February? We get a midwinter break Feb. 20-24. Has anyone experienced WDW during this time? Thanks

Gee, I think that is President's Day week. I hear it is VERY crowded then.

In 2004 we went down there on Feb. 28. It was GREAT then. Nice and cool and no crowds. I know it's a few days later than your trip just thought I would mention it.

Check to see when Presidents Day is, if it doesn't fall within that week then you should have a light week, if it does, then expect high crowds. I guess there are certain school districts that have a holiday break during this time and this causes WDW to get crowded.

I just saw on a calendar that President's Day is Monday, Feb. 20 for 2006. My question is- are the parks crowded the weekend before President's Day (Feb. 17-20) or is it crowded all that week and into the next weekend (through Feb 26)? We are arriving Feb. 25 and I am hoping for a lighter crowd.

We're planning for the week before President's Week, so I've read a lot of responses to crowd issues in Feb. From what I gather, the crowds start picking up maybe Thursday of the week before. A lot of northern schools have Winter Break during Pres' Week, so it gets pretty crowded from my understanding. Personally, I'd avoid President's Week altogether.

BTW: Pres Day is Mon Feb 20 next year.

I'd love to hear some more info on February too...we are planning a family trip Feb 2007 with aunts/uncles/grandma, about 11 of us.

I've read that temps should be good to swim during the day anyway and that crowds will be around Pres. Day..unfortunatly we won't have much of a choice as to dates - one of the party has a work conference at the time we will go. Also the Daytona speed weeks (2 weeks of racing) are in February too.

After just getting back in June though I have to say I could probably take the crowds without the heat we had then! And after all...it's Disney so it has to be great!!!

As others have mentioned around Pres. Day it gets very crowded. We try to go in the weeks just before Pres. Day and it is not too bad. The weather is still a little iffy but usually not too bad.

Here in Maine all school districts ( and several UMaine campuses)have off Presidents week.Many people choose to take their kids out of school the Friday before to avoid the Saturday airport crowd. Presidents week is always very crowded. If this February is anything like last Jan.Feb. in Northeast, expect a LOT of people heading south to aboid the snow/cold.
