Not sure if the February Scraps has been released yet, but I'm dying to know what the new products are! Esp since Feb is usually a big release month. Anyone care to share?

THANKS!

Not sure if its coming in february, but they are releasing a new 12x12 trimmer. Also the paper is being revamped, and some newer packs will have not 12x12 paper , but paper cut to fit CM refills ( so you don't have to trim ). They also have a new welcome back promotion ( 95.00 kit ) for deactivated cm's. I have been tempted to re-sign , but think I will pass. They are ven waiving the 50.00 fee for some.

Oh geez.....what a temptation to re-sign! Luckily my CMC has revamped her business and let's us buy at her discount 4xs a year...so there's really no need for me to re-sign I guess.

Do you mean that the newer packs will not be 10x12, but probably 11.5x12? Interesting, since CM's rant used to be to not wallpaper since it can make your books so heavy. I guess they have no choice but to conform to what customers are demanding!

Thanks Cyndi! Any other previews out there!??

Please tell me more about this new 12" trimmer. I read a blurb about it on 2peas and emailed my CMC but haven't heard back yet. Yes, I'm impatient. 11.5 X 12 paper, Excellent. Any other new releases, you'd care to spill?

Here's the news from the February SCRAPS .

Welcome past Consultants back to the Mission: the home office mailed a Welcome Back letter to past consultants who deactivated within the past 2 years. Special offer for coming back to CM between 2/1 and 3/18.

Consultants who deactivated within the past 6 months will have the $50 reactivation fee waived, no new contract required (reactivating under their original consultant), plus receive a bonus gift of a power sort box and a $25 product certificate when they place the $500 reactivation order.

Consultants who deactivated seven to 24 months ago can purchase the welcome back kit for $95 (check out the incentives tab on the network for contents and details later in the week), need to sign a new agreement under original consultant or alternative consultant andd get the same bonus gift as above.

New consultants will also receive the bonus gift of the power sort box and $25 product certificate.

New trimmer is $19.50. Awesome! Fits 12 inch paper with extra room for adjusting. Includes a 1/4 inch square grid to align the entire length of paper. Has an extendable ruler that lies flush with the base for precise measuring. 30, 45, and 60 degree angled lines to help cut perfect triangles (this is very cool!), 2 sided cutting blade that moves either left or right (for left and right-handed customers) . blade is like the cutting system blade. It looks kind of like the Fiskars 12 inch trimmer, but is nicer (in my opinion). This trimmer will replace the 12 inch pattern SCRAPS says to watch future editions of Scraps for updates to the decorative portion of the 12-inch pattern .

Shades of color paper packs ... to be released on a schedule.
Yellow and green in February,
red and blue in March,
olive and purple in April,
aqua and pink in June,
brown and black&white in July,
orange and amber in August.
In June, printed, rainbow, bright, dusky, pastel, jewel, neutral,

Classy short cuts and Sassy short cuts will be available while supplies last. This fall, new Sassy and Classy Sampler packs will be introduced featuring one sheet of 10x12 paper in each of 12 colors YEAH! selected from the shades of color line and will retail for $6. Also in the fall, three new Short Cuts packs will be released: warm, cool and neutral. Each pack will include one 10x12 die cut sheet in each of seven colors selected from throughout the Shades of Color line. The packs will retail for $6. Resource One selections of retiring solid milled papers and current printed papers will start while supplies last on Feb. 1. Selections of the new Shades of Color will be added to R1 later. The packaging on the paper is awesome!

BIG NEWS! In May, we will have The " Perfect Fit " series ... 12 inch paper "the Creative Memories way". It will be sized 11.457x12 inches specifically designed to fit our 12x12 pages, printed grid lines on the back side of each sheet so customers can cut and create their own 12 inch strips and geometrics in shapes that complement the new Short Cuts pattern, and a perforated sheet of 10 printed journaling boxes will be included in each pack! Seven new packs in the same monochromatic theme as the Shades of Color line.

Thank You!!

The 12" trimmer sounds excellent. So does the new paper. I just had a thought, will the new paper size fit into the File Mate? If not do you know if CM will be coming out with a File Mate type organizer that the New size will fit in?

Yikes! Not in the File Mate or my Workshop Organizer!!!! They must have something in mind! The gridlines on the back and the 12" trimmer sound great, though!!!!

Thanks disneyfanintn for all the info. I'm a former cmc and I miss scraps the most!! It was so fun to know about the new products ahead of time. I can't wait to order a new 12" trimmer!!

Oh wow, this makes my decision so hard now. I am due to order by the end of this month to stay active and had decided to deactivate. I wonder if I could resign just before the deadline in March (that would give me the time I need to get back on track I think). I didn't know if I would have deactivated in the right amount of time to qualify. I'm only a hobbyist (I have a few friends and family that help me each quarter, but it's getting harder and harder to get them to order enough, even though we all share the discount) and I just can't keep carrying a balance on my credit card for supplies. Oh man, decisions, decisions.

Lisa - If you can just find enough people to help you out this last month, it will get SOOO much easier!! Have you though about doing a show or two a month to pay for your addiction? :) I'm having a blast doing shows and I NEVER thought I'd do direct sales. I really do average $300 a show. That's less than a show a month with the new plan.

If you can re-activate for free, though, that would be a decent option. It's worth checking into to get you through this month. Good Luck!

I FINALLY got my issue of scraps and must say I am a little disappointed with the new products the past few months. Nothing WOW's me like it did in the late summer, early fall.

I do like how they are redoing the color scheme of papers, kind of neat.

And good news is that they have extended a lot of the Disney items to be avail longer but darn it all I WANT A 12X12 DISNEY ALBUM!!!!!!

Why all the new 7x7's lately?? Just curious if these are becoming more popular.

I know what you mean about the Disney album! DDIL got one & is happy with it - but then she only took about 1/3 the pix we did on our last trip. She may be able to fit them in with an extra set of pages.

We cropped together 2 weeks ago & I couldn't believe how tiny the 7x7 was! I'd have trouble thinking that small. ;) I do wish they'd have a 12x12 though.

Here's another vote for a 12x12 Disney CM album. I really prefer to use CM albums, but I had to break down and buy a Mickey album at Joann's. It's so very cute! I did use the 7x7 for an autograph album, and that's really the only pictures I could get in this album. I need more!

Everyone should go to creativememories.com and submit a request for a product you would like to see and say you want a 12x12 disney album. I too prefer CM albums and there is no way I could fit my trip in a 7x7. I have over 200 pics this last trip!

So put in a request and tell all your friends to as well ;)

Hey Carrie, thanks for the encouragement. Here's what I've decided to do. I am basically officially deactivated. I am however going to really push for the next few weeks and get enough by March 18 to place a qualifying order and "reactivate". Since I won't have to pay the $50 it's worth it to me. I think with the cumulative plan I will be better off now too. I think with this being my month to order and it being so close after Christmas people just weren't coming through for me. I got lucky in that this happened just when I need it. I've been a consultant for so long I was very disappointed, but now excited that I think I can pull it off. I'm going to try to expand my little group, even offering discounts here and there to make sure I can keep active now too. Anyone here need any CM supplies :teeth: I'll be placing an order by March 18!!!

The coolest new product that no one has mentioned yet is the Journaltopia! My consultant just returned from the Toronto show yesterday morn, and I was the 1st customer to see the new stuff. This new tool is like a ruler (with a cool carrying case as well), that has flexible wire like loops on it. You line it up and start writing - but the best part is that it not only keeps your journalling straight, but it allows (due to the flexibility of the loops) for you to write letters with tails (p's or y's for instance) as the loops bend down. It's only $12.95 here in Canada, so it will for sure be cheaper in the US for you guys. It's definitely worth checking out!

I just looked in my current issue of scaps (for the products due out in Feb) and there was nothing like that in there :confused3

I physically held this cool new toy in my hand - not sure why it's not listed, but she said it would definitely be available to order tomorrow (Feb. 1). I'll keep you posted!
