We are on this cruise too. There are 13 of us going this time including 6 kids ages 13,10,10,6,6,6. We have been to WDW tons, Disneyland once and on the Magic once. I'm not interested in the FE but am looking forward to meeting other families on this cruise!

With the same ages on the kids are you different families or are there twins and triplets? I'm sure they will have an awesome time. I toured some of the kids areas on the Fantasy last November and they were amazing!!

Just reserved our spot on this cruise! Second cruise for us! Did the Dream this past April, can't wait! We did the fish extender on our last cruise and want to do again!
Will be myself and husband, our 12 yr old daughter, and two sons, 8 & 9 years old!

Once you join it be sure and look across the bottom of the page for other fun events this group is planning. Most will figure out the exact details when the cruise gets closer. I hope you will join some of those events too.

This will be my 25th Disney cruise and DH 's 24th DCL cruise.
Our kids are grown, so just us two crazy old people who love to act like kids in Disney!

We were not able to go on our 10 yr anniversary trip this summer to WDW due to a move from Chicago to Seattle area...but so excited for this cruise! Our family needs it...really...

I am from Oregon originally and know most of the Washington area, however I am now living in Florida. We got to hating the rain and cold most of the year as we aged. Now I complain about the summer heat

Hi Kathy!
We've had great weather here since we landed here May 29!!! Been to the beach many times, Whidbey, however as I learned abt the winter season here, and the kids here get a week off in Feb....voila....Cupids in the Caribbean

I won't miss the winters and high humidity in Chicago tho!

As far as the FE's, our custom made one was stolen on our last night , and our door magnets, I was so upset, we were right next to the Roy Disney suite on the Wonder....I still recall that feeling...ugh

..our girls don't know about cruise, so that is why I joined the FB group, but don't post lol We will tell them at Christmas

What an AWESOME Christmas present for your family.

So sorry to hear about your FE and signs getting stolen. I have heard of others who had that happen but so far we have been fortunate that nobody has taken ours. I did have one put on the cabin net door so I just put it back. I always take photos of the door and FE so if they get taken I will at least have the photo to remember them by.

Winters where you are will seem mild compared to Chicago winters. That's for sure!! I hate the humidity in the summer here in Florida but the other 9 months are so great I really love living here, of course living 10 miles from Mickey helps
Plus Sea World and universal are very close. We have annual passes to WDW, then Sea World always has for residents to buy one days admission and get in the rest of the year for free.
The one of our sons works at Universal so he gets us free passes for anytime we want to go there. So there is always something to do.
Plus the cruises are so close. Only 73 minutes from my drive way to the Port.

Thank you for informing me of the Facebook group! I cannot wait till this cruise gets closer. The waiting is the worst part!
We haven't told our kids yet, would love to wait till Christmas, but keeping it a secret for that long will be very hard! I don't know if I can wait that long. Might have to change it to an end of summer surprise for them!

I went to Ikea yesterday and found the pocket thingy that a lot of people use for the FE. I just need some ideas to Disney-fy it... What do you guys think? I like the idea of a Mickey head for my hubby and Minnie heads for me and the girls. I am soooo very not crafty ( I apologize in advance for whatever I come up with for your actual gifts!). I thought adding our names to help prevent sticky fingers.

I can not wait for this cruise!! As it gets closer I know I will be posting more, I do enjoy reading about all of you!

I have seen some where people used black felt and cut out sillouettes of each persons favorite character and put it on a pocket for each person. Not sure if you have a pocket for everyone? Some used bright colored stickers to put the first name across the sillouette too.

I will have to give it some thought. I have had mine for many years so I havn't had to think about decorating a FE for many years.

Hi! I am in the same boat as you when it comes to not being crafty! I found a blog that had a no-sew FE. You said that you already found the pockets, but maybe this will give you some ideas to help with decorating.

Wow is this Meet Thread long. Of course it would have been shorter had I joined the Meet Thread back in February when I booked this cruise - totally my fault. I have been concentrating on the Meet Thread for the cruise I am taking in November and forgot about joining this one. I am excited to finally be joining this Meet Thread

My DH and I booked this cruise while on a cruise last February (Valentines Week). We will be cruising again with two great people we met on the DisBoards several years ago. This cruise will be #4 with them. This is our Adult-Only cruise - our kids will not be joining us for this one. We take this cruise each year to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary.

I have already joined the Facebook Group for this cruise and I am considering signing up for several of the scheduled activities. This looks like a great group of people (it took me 1 hour to read through all the postings) and I can't wait to get to know everyone better before the cruise.

Hi.
Phil and Michelle here from Chicago area will be on this cruise.
This will be our seventh Disney Cruise but our first in over three
years because of job changes. We have done the Eastern before but
this will be first time on the Fantasy so we cannot wait. Suffice to
say we are looking forward to this sailing.
