DH came home at 4 and couldn't understand why I wasn't done packing yet. Maybe I'm slow, overpack (definitely did but I'll learn for the next cruise) and it just takes a long time to get everyone packed.
I had DS try on some khaki pants and they were floodwaters. I made him stand right by me and had him say yes or no if he wanted to bring certain shirts or shorts. He'd be fine if I didn't ask but he is a clothes horse of sorts so now he has what he wanted.
DD was not problem packing for and I know I over packed for her. I think my problem is that I kept finding super bargains at Gymboree for the last year and it was just easier to shove stuff in than be more reasonable.
DH's bag took awhile just pulling out stuff, finding the summer shirts, etc.
I called a cab for arrangements and the guy suggested to do SuperShuttle. I go online and then have to register, I'm in just near done with the reservation (like only a confirmation away) and it gives me a message that I need to call their 1-800 number. Hold breathe, be calm, it's only 5 pm or so. I call the 1-800 number and the guy was super and even gave me the
AAA discount. Gee, did he hear STRESS or was he just nice???
We got some more packing completed...weighing as we went about it and then headed off for pedi/mani with DD and DH. After that was all done we grabbed Subway and headed home. Time was now after 9 PM.
We were doing some last minute tasks and it's 10 PM and DD asks for me to look at her throat. I look at it and all I can think or see is strep throat. I call the Urgent Care ask how late they are open, the lady says 10 PM and I say I'll be there soon. I leave the neighborhood and look at the clock in the SUV dash and realize it's 9:57.
OK, I 411 the Urgent Care and ask if they'll stay open. No - the security guard has already locked up the place and I'm told I can go to the new UC at the soon to open new hospital. I know it's going to cost more but I need UC tonight. I do a u-ey and headed off. Quick test is negative and ER Doc. swears it's just viral, ride it out and won't give me an antibiotic and simply says they have care on the ship.
We were home by 10:45 and we finished lugging the suitcases down, I tagged the bags for our one night stay at CBR.
We leave he house at 5 AM so I'm signing off. If I have time I'll do one more post.

). Had to sit on DH's suitcase to shut it-- the explosion you hear shortly after baggage arrival will be our room!!! His tux and suit are in there too... Guess he's going to be getting those pressed!!!
