AAAwwww, shucks everyone. Your concern is very heart warming. Bailey is doing very, very well. He was so brave!!! After the 4th or 5th stitch the doc's needle became barbed on the end and began to cause Bailey pain even with all the numbing ointment they put on. At the 6th stitch she had to undo 2 or 3 stitches because they were running stitches and she needed to tie them off in a certain way. We decided he had enough and she said it would heal just fine health wise and cosmetically if she used a special type of bandage to finish it rather than renumb him and go at it again. Luckily, his teeth were not injured or his jaw bone. Then to add more insult to injury he got whacked in the chin with a Wii remote by his sister celebrating her win over her dad! That hurt as much as the initial accident.
Amanda, I can't imagine the terror of seeing your baby go through that ordeal! I do hope he is better now and he didn't lose his tooth or do any long term damage.
Caymen - we're going on a sailboat, snorkeling with the stingrays and whatever else our excursion brings. I'm not brave enough to book outside of Disney yet. Maybe when I'm a veteran and have more cruises under my belt (hoping and praying there are many more in my future). Each of my kids is an animal lover and a fish in their own right so this seemed perfect for them. I'm not a sun worshiper so a day at the beach isn't for me unless I have total body coverage, tent or umbrella so this seemed good for us as a family plus I love sailing!!!
I'll head to Michael's and
Walmart this week to look for material, iron-on transfers from printers and Home Depot for a rod thingy (that's a technical term, doncha know!)
I'm creating the ice-breakers. It is either going to be a people search or People BINGO for the adults and older teens, mingling games. IE: Find somone who is sailing for 1st time. Find somone who traveled the furthest for the cruise. Ask someone who their favorite disney character is. So for the hunt the questions will be the same for everyone and listed. For BINGO every paper will be different and everyone has to ask the questions in order to get whatever BINGO special we decide. As for the kids I'm trying to finish up (in my mind ) the details of them finishing a puzzle as a group. My idea is to print a few Disney characters and then cut into puzzle-like pieces. Place the different pieces into envelopes, pass out envelopes one to each child and then the kids have to mingle to find the missing pieces of their picture. Then sort of as a team put the pieces together.
Any input would be accepted. I have more small details than I wrote but I didn't want to bore you with the details yet. I'll bore you at the meet.
DS and DD are sleeping, DH is playing Wii and I'm about to sign off
I'll see you all on the thread tomorrow! Night, Night everyone!
