February 4th, 2012 MAGIC 7 night Western cruise

AWESOME!!!
Thanks, Sharon... I sent you an email as we leave on Sunday!
Sooooo excited and can't wait to meet you all
:grouphug:
Go Giants, lol
:cheer2:

:thanks: Many, many thanks for Adrien (Intlmanofmystery) for creating a delivery map for the FE exchange!!!!!

We are in the process of setting up a place where you can go see and print the map but I know many of you would like it soon since you're heading to the Kingdom or doing other things before our voyage. :wizard:

If you would like it via email, let me know at sopandbass@msn.com and I'll send it along to you. As soon as a site is ready, I'll let you know that as well. I'll try to keep track of who has received it and if something happens and you don't get it before the cruise, I'm in stateroom 2131 and I'll bring extra

I just realized we are cabin neighbors, lol
:)

Hello. I'm travelling with 2 other families and my parents as well - so myself and 3 other guys. We'd love to play some fun poker. I love Diversions (my favorite place on the ship) so I'll take just about any excuse to hang out in there (we can play large Jenga if you like!). ::yes::We'll have to figure out a way to get in touch once on the ship.

Perfect, we will have your cabin information from the FE exchange. I'm thinking maybe Monday afternoon but we are very flexible. We have three adults in our group that will be in for a game. It will be pretty easy to get a good size game going. I'll be bringing some cheap plastic chips, the good ones weigh too much for flying.

If anyone would like to meet up late Friday (the 10th) evening for a FAB, let me know. I'll be celebrating my last hours as a 55 year old. I'm going to have to start acting my age--sooner or later! We like to sit and watch the last movie on the funnel vision while having one last drink and snack!

What is a FAB? :confused3
I was thinking Food and Beverage?! I have never heard that term in that context so it might be a dumb question, lol
Happy early birthday, btw! :yay:

Got my travel shots today :sad2:
But then countered it with a mani...
3 more work days! :worship:

All- learned so much from everyone and thanks to anyone who helped with the Fish extender stuff. We are ready to go and we are not leaving until next Friday as just a short trip from Atlanta. My 4 year old can not wait to get on the big boat on the Water as she says. We are looking forward to meeting everyone. WIshing everyone safe travels and see you soon! YEAH!!!:dance3:

Weather is looking good for our cruise- Hope is stays sunny and warm and NO rough seas for us- Keeping fingers crossed- Safe travels to those heading out this week-

Woohoo only 10 more days!!! :cool1::cool1:

Well I am walking around pretty well now with an ankle brace and shoes on (without shoes is more difficult). Hope the trend continues and I will be good by next Saturday!

Can't wait to party on the ship!

FAB stands for "Favorite Adult Beverage". Last year we had to finish off our son's "pineapple" rum while watching UP on funnel vision. The ship was quiet, the deck empty! A wonderful way to end our trip!

BYW--I still don't have my FE! Hopefully, it's in the mail. I may be doing some marathon sewing this weekend! Don't worry I have the "goodies" just not the FE for us!

Thanks for clearing that, haha

Well, you still have a bit of time and if it is any consolation, it did not take me long to construct mine and I have NO sewing skills :rolleyes1

It's almost here! Finished my fish extender gifts today and the suitcases are already out and partially packed. I still have to get some magnets together for our door and figure out what we are doing in Key West and about a million other little things that keep popping in my head. My dad came over tonight to get a refresher course on how to care for and feed all our critters. That is the hardest part of vacationing to me, but they survived without us for a week last year so I'm sure they will be fine. :goodvibes

Cheryl - feel the same way as we have a few of those critters including 5 cats (6 if you count the next door neighbors I feed) and 1 large dog. I think the pet sitter cost as much as the cruise. We are taking it easy in Key West as I just want some Key Lime pie! This is our first Disney cruise and have 2 quick questions for anyone...should we stick to our boarding time or do they let you go early and are there ever any upgrades available at check in and do they discount?

See all soon - Ann

I have to pipe in... We just got a new puppy in May of last year and I think that is the hardest part...to leave him. I know he will be in good hands but it's like having a baby, you worry so much, right?
I am going to book the Trolley tour online (to save some $) and it is hop on/off so we can see a little more of Key West (we have been before)...but I do want to get some Key Lime pie as well, lol
On other cruise lines, we have gotten earlier to the port and they were able to check us in and I guess if not, the worst is that you just have to wait a bit at the pier terminal.
It looks like the Disney Magic is totally sold out for our cruise (according the their website) but it can't hurt to try.
;)

Glad I'm not the only one worried about my pets, makes me feel better.

I think I'm going to book the trolley tour online too. I'm trying to wait to check the weather because one trolley is covered and one isn't. I don't want to be stuck on an open trolley if they are predicting rain.

As far as the port, I do know that if there are going to be upgrades available, you have to get there as the port opens because they go quick. And yes, they are discounted. I think it is around 1/2 off what you would pay if you upgraded right now. But if we are sold out I don't know if anything would be available???

As far as port times, I think I remember reading on here that they are pretty strict about them.

We adopted 3 rescue Yorkies this year - the first one last February and the last 2 about a month ago. :goodvibes

The last two came from a puppy mill in Joplin, Mo. The tornado last June destroyed the mill and my two were taking in by a rescue group. That group sent them to our state because they didn't have enough foster homes in the area due to the destruction.

These two have been moved around way too many times since June. I feel horrible about the timing of this cruise. We're having family move into our homes to care for the critters. I don't think they could mentally handle being kenneled, esp after being in a kennel when a tornado hit.

You don't suppose Mickey would mind if we brought them along? JUST KIDDING!
