February 4th, 2012 MAGIC 7 night Western cruise

I'm constantly thinking about the cruise...the time must be near!

Someone asked about the discount for onboard booking of a future cruise. In the past, it's been 10% plus an onboard credit- $100 to $300 depending on the type of stateroom booked. My experience has been that the future cruise desk, which is mid-ship on Deck 4 on the port side, gets REALLY busy later in the week (as we all realize how much we'll miss having our napkin placed on our laps when we go back to real life). :dance3: If you know ahead of time that you want to book a cruise for the future (you can always change the date later), and you don't want to spend time waiting in line, go before Wednesday. :)

Yeah I wonder!! Hope something good!! We haven't had a chance to get to the movies since the holidays. I think our last movie was the Muppets. I'm going to throw the question out on the boards and lets see what kind of feedback we get. I can't believe its in two weeks. I thought I've been prepared all this time but now I'm second guessing if I'm remembering everything.....and hoping mother nature gets all of us safely down to Florida with no big storms brewing. Accuweather stops at Thursday, Feb 1st as to the weather. Guess I'll need to wait til tomorrow and see what they are calling for the Friday we head out.

What flight do you have? Out of Newark? Maybe we are on the same flight! That would be awesome!! LoL!

Thats great that you could make it yourself!!! I cheated and bought one on Ebay in October and just got it this week!!!! Nothing like last minute!! Some of the reviews on the seller were making me nervous because some people said they didn't get theirs on time. It came out great!! I also ordered 2 pillowcases and will have them dropped off at Customer Service to have autographed for the kids. They came out good - she embroidered a cruise ship on them and had "Magic" put on the side of the ship.

Wow! I hope mine comes on time then. The source promised this next week. If I don't get it, I guess I'd better start figuring one out this weekend. Drat! I had other things to do! Like life!!! If you look on one of the Navigators that is on this site, it will give the location of Palo reservations. We may try and book an evening one as well as the brunch. We did book one of the spa treatments first day at sea. It's wonderful!!! I'm now counting hours, not days. Can't wait!

It was me who was asking so thanks for the info
Our family has been on 2 other cruise lines and I just have a feeling that this might spoil us for all others in the future

My one question for you all...... How big are your FE Extender's? I thought mine was going to be bigger than what I got- Looked bigger in the photos- Its prob. about 24-36 in long. Just was curious.....

Thanks but I probably spent a lot more by the time I got all what I needed to construct it
Mine is about the same size-wise as yours with 6 pockets that are about 4x4 "
Oh well, I was just really excited by this so all good
Tell me more about bringing pillow cases because I have not heard anything about this yet :confused3

Would any of you or your guests be interested in a game of poker during our cruise? I'm thinking one or more afternoons in Diversions where its usually quiet then. Low stakes, texas hold-em style tournament. If there is interest I will bring chips and cards. PM me or we can discuss here.

Hello. I'm travelling with 2 other families and my parents as well - so myself and 3 other guys. We'd love to play some fun poker. I love Diversions (my favorite place on the ship) so I'll take just about any excuse to hang out in there (we can play large Jenga if you like!). ::yes::We'll have to figure out a way to get in touch once on the ship.

Are the discounts on board substantial?
:confused3

What kind of discount does Disney give for booking a future cruise while onboard? I should start working on my DH and maybe we can book our next Disney cruise. We would like to take the whole family on our next cruise.[/QUOTE]

I would just suggest booking outside of DIsney...We have a Suite with Verandha that sleeps 4 and paid under 3,000 including insurance and 50 onboard credit. www.cruisecompete.com...My friend couldn't beleive it. This was for 2 adults and one child. When I tried booking directly thru Disney it was 5,000 for cruise alone for the 3 of us.... Just a thought.

Does the software know we are talking about booking a trip....those Dreams Unlimited ads are popping up like crazy :D

Two weeks and we are out on the big blue....

Thanks for the tip, I just registered on that site for future quotes. We are DVC members so we used points this year to book
:thumbsup2

I just registered too - This is our first cruise but I think I'll love it :cool1:
Thanks for the tip - we are DVC members also but not sure if it's worth it to use points rather then just pay out right. :confused3

We have another timeshare so we used up this year's DVC points plus borrowed from next year and had to pay one cruise fare so...
I guess if we did not have the other timeshare, we might not have done that.
Hard to say but I get what you mean ;)

What flight do you have? Out of Newark? Maybe we are on the same flight! That would be awesome!! LoL!

We are going to fly out of Allentown,PA for the first time. We were going to do Jet Blue out of Newark but prices went crazy right before I booked. Booked Air Tran for $146.00 rountrip for each of us. Will try it and see what happens. Everyone by me loves Allentown-Its close by and a smaller airport-and the times they left suited us better so the kids could still do a full day of school on Friday. Have heard good and bad things about Air Tran but everyone has an opionon on every airline-Keeping fingers crossed for a postive experience!!!

Yes-I found out about it by reading the threads here on the Boards-People suggested to bring pillowcases or mat frames and supply your own Sharpie Markers or Fabric Markers and leave it at guest services on the first day of the cruise.....they will deliver to you the night before we depart back to reality. Place everything in a big zip loc for them and some people will also give them a bag of candy as well as a Thank You-its free and I think a great souviner. From what I've read they allow two items per room and some people said they get their markers back, some don't, and some drop off multi colors but sometimes were all signed in black only-Gonna try out and see what happens.......Hope thi shelps you out!

No problem, I thought it was well worth it. My co-worker just bacame a DVC Member, but the downfall with that is using it towards cruises....It's actually more expensive when you use your points. She is going on the Mexican Riviera in April and had to fork out another 600 on top of using her points. I guess because all meals/food are included versus your "home" site where you normally pay for that. Worth a shot either way and weigh out the options.

I've saved hundreds both last two times i've booked with that site. DIsney is great but the price is too. LOL

Can't wait for our vacat and meet everyone.:cool1:

We just booked some bike rentals for Castaway, someone recommended it as a great way to see the island

That is a great price! I would try it too. I'm sure it will be fine. I think we flew Air Tran once before - don't recall any problems. We got Jet Blue for I think for $175.00 round trip but we had to play with the days. We are arriving on 2/3 - Friday and coming home on 2/12 - Sunday. The kids will miss 6 days of school instead of 5 but at this point 1 day isn't that significant. Good luck my friend & we'll see you in LESS THAN 2 WEEKS!!!!!:woohoo::yay::dance3::cheer2::cool1::thumbsup2

We usually fly Air Tran to Orlando out of Flint, MI. We love it because it's a small airport and everything is close by. Unfortunately, since the take-over they cancelled our regular flight and substituted one that wouldn't have worked for us this trip. But we live between the Flint airport and the Detroit airport and they were very accommodating in getting us flights in and out of Detroit (and they're non-stops). So, we are and have been pretty happy with their service. Have a safe and uneventful flight!!!

:thanks: Many, many thanks for Adrien (Intlmanofmystery) for creating a delivery map for the FE exchange!!!!!

We are in the process of setting up a place where you can go see and print the map but I know many of you would like it soon since you're heading to the Kingdom or doing other things before our voyage. :wizard:

If you would like it via email, let me know at sopandbass@msn.com and I'll send it along to you. As soon as a site is ready, I'll let you know that as well. I'll try to keep track of who has received it and if something happens and you don't get it before the cruise, I'm in stateroom 2131 and I'll bring extra copies. :surfweb:

It was 80 degrees in Key West when I checked the weather earlier. :cool1:

Can't wait!
