February 28, 2009 Bushwacker Banditos Magical Cruise

Hey Everyone… hello from Mickey’s high seas!
The cruise has been absolutely INCREDIBLE! We are ruined for all other cruise lines… or at least they’ll have to work very hard to outdo Disney! We’ve had perfect weather the entire time (as we luckily always do) and everything has been great. The seas are a little rough today for our last sea day, but nothing bad. This ship is amazingly stable. Last night coming back from Cozumel was extremely windy and the ship barely moved. At one point we thought we wouldn’t have fireworks, but it died down just in time and Mickey rode the zip line and the fireworks went off without a hitch.
Johnna, today we were in Palo for brunch and PJ knew who you were when we told him we’d be in for brunch next week in the private room. What did you do to him? He He We enjoyed today so much we booked another brunch and a dinner.
Guest Services was able to work some Disney magic and we won’t have to change staterooms next week…so 5130 again! YEAH!!!!! We’ve made lots of friends on board, both guests and staff and people seem genuinely glad that we’ll be on another week. Silly them.
Well, that’s all for now… we’re in Castaway Cay tomorrow and then it’s YOUR TURN!
You all must be so excited!

So…. safe flights and travel to everyone. Mickey and the gang are waiting!

Glad you are enjoying the cruise! Isn't it just MAGICal?? Tell them they better restock the alcohol really well, after the week I've had I'll need it big time. At least until we hit St Croix and I can stock up on my own!!

Packing is coming to an end!

MAJOR SNAG! Can't find out luggage tags for the ship! UGH! Will call tomorrow morning to see what can be done. We are so ready for the cruise, but getting there will be the hardest thing Just too much happening all around us... long story, as I am SURE every one of us has a long story!

Leslie... I am ready to be picked up at the airport NOW!!!

Things are good here at WDW. Not to crowded. Yesterday I went to the DCL desk at SSR to arange luggage pick up. Bell services will be here bout 8 in the morning to get my bags. To the few that are onboard already, HAve a good day at Castaway Cay. For me it is off to EPCOT in a little pit for a ride on Mission: Space and Test track, then lunch in Germany. After lunch over to the Hollywood studios for ESPN the Weekend and a zride on the Tower of Terror and Rockin Roller Coaster.

Wow! It SURE IS QUIET around here!

After a L O N G night last night, we are both at work and will need to work through lunch to get everything done for our projects.

At 1:30 we will be leaving for the airport. It still seems like a dream... so far away! We're due for rain this afternoon so we're hoping our flight will continue to be on schedule!

My heart is pounding on my chest, it has started to sink in that I just have a bit under 3 hours before I leave the office.

I am suddenly so nervous! Everything is packed and ready to go, the bills are paid, I just finished a huge project I needed to get done before leaving, and I can't believe how incredibly lucky we are! It is making me so happy I wanna cry.

I had an awful nightmare yesterday that I got appendicitis in the middle of the night and couldn't make it on board. Talk about crazy!!! I guess because I have spent so many years in and out of the hospital in the past I am paranoid.

I hope to see you guys Saturday, hopefully I can get over my shy-self and say hi! Wish us luck!

After a big snowstorm slowed down out drive and we were close to missing our flight I am relieved to be in Orlando! Off to DTD for the day. See you all tomorrow in the Promanade!

for anyone still reading this at Castaway Cay today, can't wait till tomorrow when you all board and we can all meet, come visit me in stateroom 2088, I love vistors, or maybe Krazy Karaoke next week will have only 7 people again like this week and we will all joke about going to someones room I only wish. Pub night is tonight can't wait for that, I'm sad and happy at the same time, next friday at this time I think I might be in tears since I will have to go home the next day. What excursions did you do? How were they?
Did you do
Coral World? Helmet Dive? Snuba? in St Thomas
Jeep Excursion in St Croix.
Also If you could post the Navagators.
How was the weather on Castway Cay I'm a wimpy Floridian I need it warm.

We made it to OTown, had a great dinner with family, and now in Palm Bay waiting for tomorrow! Whoo & Hoo!

What time can we board the ship?

I just read on another part of this forum that boarding is scheduled for 12 noon, but the rooms are no ready until 1:30pm. If that's the case, do they move your luggage to your room for you? I hoping to God that we don't have to tow our bags around for 1.5 hours ... do we?

Made it to the Hyatt. I'm bushed. Can't wait for tomorrow.

Don't stress, Rono. They take your bags and deliver them. If there's something you feel you might need before dinner, be sure and bring it with you. Our bags have always shown up very quickly, but I've heard stories where people didn't get their bags until well after dinner.

Well bell services just picked up our bags here at SSR. Bus pick up in about four hours. Should be on the ship within five and a half hours.
