February 28, 2009 Bushwacker Banditos Magical Cruise

Well I think I will have to reconcider my vacation plans then. Oh wait, never mind, insted I will go on vacation, dream I could afford a $200,000,000 million dollar payroll and have nothing to show for it. Hey Now I sound like a Yankee fan. So I ask this to all Yankee fans:

Question: What does $200,000,000 get you?

Answer: NOTHING:lmao:

that question you asked all Yankee Fans means nothing to me lol :happytv:, I only root for yankees because I hate Red Sox, I just find them so overrated like the Dallas Mavericks and I would prob like the Dallas Mavericks if it wasn't for Mark Cuban

I will meet at at the bar right after the lifeboat drill. I will be the guy wearing an orange life vest.

Mark

Well what if I meet you later. I like to take a nap really quick after the drill. I like to be awake for dinner. Anyways, lets play it by ear. We still have time. I guess we will be twins if I meet you right after the drill, I too have decided to wear an Orange life vest.

I can understand that. That is one reason I am a Bronco fan, I just hate the Oakland Raiders so much. But go ahead ask ask you Stankee, oh my bad, Yankee fan friends that question.

Hey all - I'm happy to start a list of us with "real" names, ages, kids ages, etc. Whatever you want to share so we can get to know each other even better and those of us with kids might be able to hook them up via email or the boards (monitored of course!) ahead of time.

Send me a PM or email to: jerseygirlstory@gmail.com with whatever info you want to share.

Suggested info:
Dis names and real names
Ages of kids (yours too if you want!)
town you live in
Cabin number
email

Remember - it's all optional. I promise not to sell your info to telemarketers or spammers. :goodvibes

FYI - we're in Jersey now and I'm wide awake at 4:10 a.m. and have been since about 2:30. REALLY uncomfortable bed. :sad2:

Oh and Alan - as for your upcoming bar tab - just tell your wife that your new motto is "It's vacation - go nuts!" Our kids tell us that all the time now, even last night at dinner. Basically, anytime we're not home, that's our mantra. So have a great time - go nuts! :woohoo:

Dudes - maybe you haven't learned that you just need to bring a drink TO the lifeboat drill. Mark - don't you remember what I said last time? If we're going to sink, at least I'll be happy on the way down. I think Leonardo and Kate should have tried that! :lmao:

Hello all,

Have been lurking for a month or so, as I was not entirely certain that we would stick with this week that we booked on board (Feb 24-Mar 1 Western), but I think we're committed now.

We are: Elizabeth, Jeff, and 2 daughters - Madeleine (11) and Riley (7). Thanks Johnna (sorry, hope I am spelling that right) for doing the cruise member listing.

This is our 3rd 7-day with DCL, but our first Eastern. I am hoping to see the excursion options soon for St. Croix, but it looks like it could be fall or early winter before we can hope for that! Switching itineraries is interesting - a few weeks ago I felt like such a pro - knew which night was which, planned the clothing around each night - now I have to figure out a new approach!

I am not going to weigh in on the baseball discussion other than to say a long time ago I loved the Toronto Blue Jays, and actually won a lot of money when Joe Carter hit the grand slam homerun to win the World Series in Game 7. I never understood how he could continue to play after that - wouldn't everything afterwards just never be such a shining moment.... Anyways, don't really have time for baseball these days, although I do like to head over to TO at least once a year just for a day at the ballpark.

You folks are impressively active on this thread - I think the meet thread is already longer than our Feb 2008 thread was when we sailed!!!

Are there any 11 or 7-year old girls out there? Our DDs met some friends very early on for our Feb 2008 cruise, and it made a world of difference for them, particularly the 7yo who had 3 new best friends by the time she had her embarkation photo taken.

Looking forward to looking forward to our cruise with you....

My son took his twelve pack to the lifeboat drill. I was very happy that he was at a different station.

Hello Elizabeth and welcome! :wave2:

Hello everyone. We just booked this cruise today. We are so excited for our first eastern cruise. February is a great time to get away from Cleveland and going to the USVI sounds real good to me. Can't wait to meet everyone.

:car: + ::cop: = $$$$$

Johnna you are funny... I had to laugh when I read that.......
you didn't even know that the cop car was behind you lol

When Mark runs a red light and gets caught with the camera, do they send the ticket to you in the mail, along with a photo????

If you guys keep running red lights ( and keep getting caught), you may have to move out here with us...our town only has 4 stop lights in the whole town, and NO cameras LOL!!!

Hello Everybody,

I discovered the DIS boards just before our first cruise (Feb 23 - March 1 Western), and have found some very valuable information. We booked the St. Croix cruise while onboard. We are: My husband (Trent), myself (Carolyn), and our kids - Hannah will be 8, and Alexander will be 5.

I have also placed a deposit on the Western cruise for Feb 21-28, and would like to do a back-to-back. My husband isn't so sure about this (but my daughter and I have some time to convince him). In any event, we will be sailing Feb 28. I look forward to getting to know you all better!

Hey BJ, did all go well yesterday. Want to send me a dinner plate FED EX..??

Back-to-Back.....that would be SO much fun!!!!! I say, if you have the chance to do it, then GO FOR IT!!!!

I told my DH that I would love to do a back to back,
but with our kids school schedule it would never work...our spring break always consist of 2 days off ( a 4 day weekend) and that's it... they will already be missing 6 days as it is :sad2: and since my DH is a farmer, the summer months are out...

If I'm not mistaking, I think that someone else on this thread is doing a back to back as well!!!!!
Just think, while everyone is getting up early and hustling to get breakfast, and trying to get off the ship, you guys could be sleeping in.. only to wake up to having the WHOLE ship to yourselves for part of the day:) What could be better:woohoo: :woohoo:

No no...remember, I said we had 3 stop lights..and Ron said "NO".... we have 4..he was counting the one out by our interstate...and I was only counting the ones in town:)

As far as the plate goes...I could certainly send you one..unfortunatly it will be empty...as I ate ALL the food lol!!!!!

Actually I sent ALL the leftovers home with everyone:) I was NOT to be trusted home alone with them LOL:laughing:

Speaking of Bushwacker's...I googled the recipe last night..it truly is ALL alcohol :scared1:

I said in my initial post, We were tentatively booked on the cruise to St. Croix, but after much discussion with our cruise friends (TKTSTJOHN), We have decided to pass on our cruise next year and visit the island of St. John for the week next April with the St. Johns.
Sorry to disappoint Johnnas, Brendas family. This will stop us from cruising in the future but feel a need to switch it up this year, possibly when the new ships come out will be the next time, that would be cool.

Hope all is well..
GO YANKS
Norm

:sad1: :sad1: We will miss you on the cruise..but will look forward to keeping in touch with you:)

To all...

I can teach you everything you need to know about the game right here. The DH should be outlawed, The Yankees stink ( they spend $200,000,000 and win nothing), VIn Scully (Dodger Annoucer) is god. Anything else please ask. Oh gota run, I have to get to Dodger Stadium, as today is Opening Day :worship: and I don't want to be late. We are playing our rivals, Those Giants from Sab Fransicso. Man I hate those guys.

enough about baseball lol(jk but you know what team is better then all baseball teams?) New York Giants :cool1:

Hello to all, new and old! :wave2:

Carolyn, my husband and I are doing a back to back. We will be on the February 21 Western. Fortunately I didn't have to do any convincing, it was all his idea. We also booked while on board last month. Good luck to you and your daughter. I hope you convince him!

They moved to san Francisco in 1958. And the stink, the are the scum of the baseball world. Can you tell I am a Dodger fan.
