February 28, 2009 Bushwacker Banditos Magical Cruise

Soon...Soon... Soon... We'll be crusing!

Packed??? :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

NOT YET!

DH found our cruise docs in between our car seats... and I didn't even know they were missing! WHEW!

Thanks to all who have reached out to this newbie on your thread!

Today we put away some Christmas stuff (don't ask :rotfl2: ) then dragged out our suitcase from the basement. Tomorrow we'll start.

Pleasant dreams All!!! Dream of sailing in paradise!!!

Grrrrrrr not everything fits into one suitcase! I hate having to pay the airline to check my luggage, guess I could always to laundry but that is not my idea of vacation. We leave tomorrow morning!

My super Walmart here in Airdrie ISN'T "super"!!:sad2:
I went tonight to buy myself the over the door shoe holder thingy....:guilty: And they don't have any!!!
They had one that was solid fabric, ( the clear part lets you see all the "stuff")so that is not the point of this whole thing right?!?:confused3
I know from looking at the other stores in town that only Walmart has them, they did have ones with clear pockets around Christmas, but did I buy it then? NO not me...drat!
Okay that is my rant... thanks for reading.

Mostly packed, but a few odd things like cameras, cords etc... that will be done tommorow night and then off to the airport Thursday morning for our flight at 12:20!

Goodnight all!
Wanda

Ah I am sure lucky I don't have to fly. My bag is packed to the brim, DH is nearly done to and left are just toiletries we need to pack at the very last minute plus cameras that have to stay out so we can properly charge them, plus they'll be with us all along anyhow.

I am getting a powerstrip into DH's suitcase in a bit.

I am sorry the over the door shoe thingy wasn't available! I hate when that happens, you see something, you KNOW you did, then weeks later you ask for it and everybody acts like you are insaaaane :lmao: ... well ok maybe I am a bit off, but still ;)

I am now packing the fins and the binoculars, I feel like I am taking the house with me:scared1:

Alas... we are in Canada... no Target here....maybe we will see one on our quick pit stop at Walmart or whatever we find between Orlando and the port.

Safe travels to everyone! :wave2: We don't leave until Friday morning which is good as I haven't packed anything yet. Most everything is laid out on the bed in the guest bedroom and the suitcases are in there too. Just got to get the stuff into the suitcases. DH is no help with packing except to call me up at random times to ask if I remembered one thing or another. Ugh!

Had some unexpected things come up which have put me behind schedule.

1. The father of one of my best friends died over the weekend. He had been suffering from cancer and was told last fall that there was nothing else they could do. I'm just glad we were still here and were able to attend the funeral today.

2. Our attorney needed me to review some paperwork that he was working on for our farming operation which took most of this afternoon but at least that is done.

Tomorrow is our son's 27th birthday so I'll bake him a cake in the morning and then we're all going out to Pizza Hut after Ash Wednesday church services in the evening. :)

I have a couple of business meetings tomorrow afternoon but am also taking some time to get my pedicure and spray on tan!! :dance3:

And then I have to clean my house :laundy: as I'm a freak about leaving on vacation without everything being freshly cleaned. I know, I know...I shouldn't be so obsessive-compulsive but it sure is nice to come home to a clean house.

Oh and I can't forget to pack our puppy Dory's bag for her stay at my sisters--including her blankie, her favorite toy, stuffed animal to sleep with, food, treats, etc. etc. etc.

I guess I better quit writing and get to work.....or to bed so I can work harder tomorrow.

Only four more sleeps and we'll be on the Magic!!!!!! :cheer2: :cheer2:

Wow that was intense! Just finished ironing some odds and ends and packing them up. really, we are out for 9 days in the end so it takes a lot of clothes, shoes, etc if you don't have many repeats, plus the toiletries and incidentals, we will have 2 suitcases and 2 carry-ons.

I remember last time we were gone for 3 weeks to visit my family in Brussels... it was crazy, but at least we did laundry over there, otherwise I'd have needed a small convoy :rotfl:

I feel just like you. I never do laundry on vacation. In May for the Panama voyage I was gone 18 days I packed enough to get away with it.

Good Morning Cruisers!

SOOOON... oh so SOOOON!!!

Safe Travels to those taking off to Paradise today:goodvibes

I'm up earlier than usual this morning to get some things done before leaving for work.

3Charbys - I have to do an afternoon WALMART run and will look for an over the door hanger for you.

aan1701 - You did the PC Kingdom to Kingdom too? That was one awesome cruise.

donmil723 - I could use you to help me out here with your cleaning! Especially since I'm STILL taking Christmas things down!:lmao:

Tonight will be packing night, and I will have to take time off from work to get this done on time (sigh...) And LOST or no LOST, we will have to pack.

HAPPY DAY ALL!

Georgie!! That would be sooo awesome:goodvibes if you could find that over the door hanger!! I would be very grateful!!!
That for sure would gain you a bushwacker or a drink of the day plus cost and shipping and handling!! Maybe two drinks of the day!!

Today is a busy day, this morning I am awaiting a call back from Shirley from The Perfect Gift. We are trying to arrange a basket for Lauren in the stateroom when we arrive. Sand pail and toys etc, plus a helium balloon.

Then it is off to preschool as Lauren has a field trip to the Post Office and I am one of the parent volunteers to help corral the kiddos and make sure we get there and back safely.

This afternoon we have an appointment here at the house and then supper and packing the last few things we need to throw into the cases!

A good nights sleep ( fingers crossed ) and off to the airport in the morning!!

I can't beleive it is only one more sleep at home!!

Donna: sorry to hear about your friends passing, our condolences. On the other side Dory is going to be fine on her extended "playdate". She will be so full of love and kisses when she sees you when you come back. That is the great thing about dogs... they are always glad to see you!;)

Okay I better get going here!!

Toodles everyone! Enjoy your day!

Yes it was. i really liked the pin sleep over. I know a lot of people were complaining about that, but I had fun with it. So cool. The 15 nighter in May was just as good as well. I am writing this in Phoenix, waiting for my flight to Austin, then to Orlando from there (hey when you fly for free you go how you can right?) I should be at SSR in about 6 hours from now.:cool1:

Safe Travels to ALL!!!!!!
We are looking forward to meeting everyone on Saturday!!!!

Whoo HOO!!!!! We are all so excited!!!!
And the packing is ALMOST done!!! For me the vacation starts the second the suitcases are all packed and in the car, and we are backing out of the driveway!!!!! Which will be tomorrow after school!!!!

Sigh of relief and let the FUN begin!!!!! :cool1: :cool1:

I just ordered a basket from The Perfect Gift for the girls! Two sand buckets, two shovels, and two rakes plus snacks! They will be thrilled! I just had the last minute thought of packing sand toys and REALLY didn't want to shovel the snow off the sandbox and then find room in my already packed suitcases for them! Besides coming out of the sandbox they will be dirty and I didn't want that in my suitcase. Seeing as we will be having two beach days this will be great to have!

Got it!!! :thumbsup2 Will look for you at the meet. PM me your room number just in case something comes up!

Safe Travels!

I'm sure you all will be relieved to know that I FOUND my over teh door shoe thingy (that's the technical term for it) - under a pile of stuff (ahem) in my room.

I knew it was there!!

We are headed to FLA tomorrow and will chill (or warm up actually!) in Cape Canaveral at the Renaissance. Can't wait to see you all on board.

SAFE SAFE travels everyone!!:woohoo:

HI ALL!!!!

ARE YOU ALL READY FOR VACATION!??!

I know I sure am!
Totally excited!!
I just wanted to wish you all safe travels whether you're driving or flying. I know a lot of you are leaving tomorrow or are already on your way (LUCKY! I leave REALLY early on Friday) so be safe and see you on board on Saturday!

I'm not sure if I'm gonna be able to get back on the boards today or tomorrow. So I wanted to make sure I wished everyone safe travels!!!
Tonight I gotta get some last minute stuff to pack and tomorrow I want to make sure I have absolutely everything ready to go for Friday morning. My aunt is picking us up at 5 in the morning to take us to the airport, so I know I'm gonna need to get to bed early the night before so I'm not a cranky mess on Friday.

OOOH! I'M SOO EXCITED I COULD SCREAM!
See you all on Saturday!!!! :yay:

Help!!! I've been so dang busy that I haven't been following this thread. What's the weather been like? I'm going to dig through the thread and see what I can find. But, in the meantime, if anyone knows, please clue me in. Many thanks. I haven't even started to pack yet. Yikes!!!! :headache:

Also, it's good to see that there's a couple of other teenagers on board. DS is 14 and really looking forward to being able to go to the Stack this time.
